I would not want to see that, but I bet it would put Kelly in the hot seat. His replacement doing what he couldn’t in just a few years?
If it fast tracks Kelly's departure, I'm all for it.

No, I'm afraid we can't simply turn back the clock to 2010, 2020, or even two years ago, and while Texas and Oklahoma may be new neighbors and partners to our new and improved SEC, awkward and odd as it might be for Auburn, LSU, Georgia, and Ole Miss fans or "traditionalists" to accept it, Texas is indeed part of our larger Southern football family and sports collegiate conference. Culturally,.socio-political and historically, Texas has strong ties to the South as well. That's because the committee couldn't stack the BCS / playoff / etc with overrated SEC teams. When the SEC teams had to win their way there we saw what happened. Don't talk to me about Texas either they are not a real SEC team yet LOL.
it's supposed to be stopped until the official places the ball downDoesn’t matter at this point in the game but, VT just made a very long play down field and the clock never stopped for the first down. Does that only apply for end of a half? I thought it was every time you get a first down. Ther was less than a minute left in the first quarter.
Gotta be a new rule, right?it's supposed to be stopped until the official places the ball down
edit. I was wrong. a quick search says
In college football, the clock stops on a first down during the last two minutes of the second and fourth quarters. However, the clock runs after a first down is gained in bounds for the rest of the game
yep, only 2 years. its why I edited my original post.Gotta be a new rule, right?
