So here is the problem with just Allen going. It’s the same problem we have this year after Pete got walking papers last offseason. Neither of them are the real problem. It’s like they say about doctors treating the symptoms and not the disease. Pete, Allen etc are symptoms. They didn’t promote themselves, they didn’t have a mutiny against Captain Payton and take over the SS Saintly. They were put in place by people that are far above them. After 1 interview with Pete Charmichael anyone with a functioning brain knows he’s not a leader in that capacity. After one post game interview with Allen you can pretty much tell this guy has the personality of a dried fig. Still, this front office put them in charge of this team. Oh well, we all make mistakes but to continue to make them over and over then try to sell us sheete discussed as sugar is something else. Year one, doesn’t go the way you want even though Loomis, Allen, everyone said they took over a ready made winner. Ok, so let’s do it again. Year 2, doesn’t work so you change out lil ol’ Petey who didn’t want to be the coordinator to start with. He knew he wasn’t that dude but Mickey convinced him he could do it. As a leader you’re supposed to set your people up for success, Mickey set these guys up to fail. No only do you bring back Pete and Allen multiple years but the one thing you had going in your favor, your defense, you swap out almost every coach there and we see where that’s gotten us. Yeah, let’s fix what’s not broke. Mickey has convinced Allen he’s a head coach, you can see that now Allen is at the point he’s not convinced anymore himself. What does Mickey do? He doubles down, compares Allen to Hall of fame coaches, tells the fans they’re idiots and he knows more than them and now he’s telling those same fans they need to look beyond the results. Well Mickey we’ve looked. You’ve been weighed, you’ve been measured and you have been found wanting. I feel bad for Dennis and Pete. Without Mickey they are still living in bliss, Pete’s checking boxes and Allen is calling plays leaving the heavy lifting of head coaching to someone qualified.

I think this is a 3 year process, they could bring in someone they know, like an Aaron Glenn but they'd just fire him in 3 years and then bring someone in when the slate is clear with the cap. I don't think its a good job right now, its bad."

Eh, if Gayle is willing to crack open the checkbook and revamp the FO, they can do it right now if they want. New GM, clean house and start over, and I can see a lot of up an coming coaches wanting to come in and take a swing at it.

That said, I'm not sure Gayle and Dennis Lauscha have it in them to fire Loomis and the rest. Loomis might still be able to hire a good coach, but he's gonna have to show them the way forward and show them the money. They can lure a good coach if they do it right.

Whether they can actually pull that off, idk.

Incredible. If you talked anything bad about Allen & Loomis right after the first two games, you'd get clowned to oblivion.

Absolutely right. We should just cut the crap and embrace it. Hell, advertise it on the dome! The Saints are the cure for all that ails your team. Whatever your squad is struggling with, you can “get right” by playing us! Guaranteed!

I've never, ever, ever bought the notion that any NFL HC job is....bad, or unappealing.....There are only 32 jobs available on the planet, and plenty of young, promising coaching talent out there, the challenge is to find the right guy for your team.....For all those happy to stick with DA for 3 wasted years I'll say it again....You can't find the next good/great HC if you aren't even looking for him.....

That takes a lot of energy and passion. She doesn't really seem to have either, at least from what she's publicly put out there.

I do usually buy a salute to service Jersey. I cannot support this. I don’t even know who on this teams jersey I would buy?
