Brandin Cooks on returning to the Saints, his thoughts on Saints WRs & talking to Derek Carr

We really need the OL/running game to be top 10 to have a consistently potent offense. Derek Carr needs it badly for play action effectiveness and to take the load off his shoulders when they get into the redzone, which is his biggest weakness.
Since last yr was an anomaly due to injuries if you look at 23 DC was 10th in RZ efficiency. Hardly his biggest weakness. With that said assigning the success solely on the QB , any QB is very inaccurate. it's way more play calling that determines RZ success

Numbers never lie…

his critical fans that want him gone, will feel a huge emptiness when he's gone, especially when the back-up struggles. Brandon Cooks' opinion of DC4 matches the opinions of his new teammates and the rest of the league exactly. I'm hoping DC4 has a banger year then signs a 3 year extension. We were a shell of a team when he was out.

And in some of those games they won as a team he was carried a good bit show me 5 games he carried or excelled since being here for all the Carr advocates
Throwing those deep passes to Shaheed the first two weeks. Week 11 vs Browns. Week 10 vs Falcons. Who else threw those hail Marys to MVS in that game?

Where was your response to the person who said Derek Carr win games lol it seems he can only receive credit around here lol … so let me get this straight every sub par year his teams has had in his career is everyone but his fault and the lone good year he has had was all him and gruden lol?
Carr was 5-5 as a starter. We probably beat the Broncos, Commanders, and Bucs with him starting. Chargers also.

Never said that, but now that you’ve brought it up, he did play his entire career with bad defenses there, so that didn’t help. The best defense Oakland had while he was there was ranked 20th, the year they went to the playoffs and he finished third in MVP voting. Most of the time, they were near the bottom/bottom third.

Surely you can’t believe that if Carr had better defenses or a strong coach like a Sean Payton, his fate would be the same.

Your team matters. You cannot deny that.

The thing with the Raiders is every good offense or average offense in need of a spark have used the Raiders as a get right game. Players play with confidence when playing that team. The Raiders have gotten used to getting burned and they struggle against pocket QBs. They don't struggle against Lamar and athletic QBs though. Some franchises can only win one way. For the Raiders they had their best years as a defensive-oriented team.
