You do know that Cooks is 28 years old, had back to back 1,000yd seasons and the one last year playing with a rookie QB.

All for drafting somebody but there are risks there, too. Guys can take time to develop or never pan out. If not Cooks, I'd at least like to see another veteran addition capable of playing at a high level.

Not a bargain for a #2 WR. Cap-wise, he is in the top 10-12 WR in the NFL. A restructure could cure that, at least for this season, but will have to pay sometime.

That $16M cap number doesn't carry over. Only his base salary.

That would put him just above Robby Anderson. Maybe bargain is too strong, but he wouldn't be overpaid at that point. And that assumes we don't extend him into the void years on his deal.

I think at this point Brandin just wants to experience winning again. He seemed just slightly agitated that the Texans would trade Roby to the Saints but refused to trade him.

It was Ingram that he was upset about.
