Does he play for the Washington Capitals of the NHL? That hit was very Tom Wilson-esque.

Maybe the hit itself was not dirty but the forearm to the head was dirty. Not dirty to me. Unfortunate. But Lawrence slid and he was going towards. It’s football
Other angles show that the blow was to the pads, not the head. If it happened to a Saints player, I would look in the play in its totality and I would have came to the same conclusion. On first watch, I thought it was jacked up, but then looking at the play in different angles and slowed down, I see the play differently.Dirty hit, and I can't believe others are saying "not that bad of a hit" He led with his brace straight to Lawrence's head. It was a bull **** dirty play and if happened to a Saints players you'd want the defender's head on a platter.
Out for the year and fined. Should have the snot beat out of him as well.
While this is true, I've seen QB's fake that move and sucker a defender. Until it's illegal for the QB to fake going down or out of bounds, I can't really blame the defender.By rule, Lawrence is going to be down here as soon as his knee hits the ground - it does not require contact. A disciplined defensive player knows this. Even if it wasn’t intentional it was reckless and the league is going to punish it. This is precisely why they even have the QB slide rule in the first place.
He’s down at this point - by rule.
Did you see the way he acted afterward? And how he tried to bait one of the Jag players into another fight as he was being escorted off the field?Player committed to tackle same time as slide. Did hit him in pads forcibly causing QBs head to snap back.
Still don’t see intent to injure, just a guy playing hard.
People need to chill w/ calling guys dirty, same was said about Shepherd’s play. I find it rare that guys are trying to injure each other when playing
That's a valid point. However, I'm sure most defensive players are aware of the fine line when quarterbacks try to slide or go out of bounds. He launched to lay him out if he didn't get down in time. I don't think it was dirty; it was just a "you better duck" situation.Player committed to tackle same time as slide. Did hit him in pads forcibly causing QBs head to snap back.

If you want to see someone in a certain light, anything they do will lend credence to how you feel. I don't think it was dirty or intentional, but I do think players have to realize it's better to ease up on QB's than to go for the hit 99% of the time because 99% of them will slide vs take you on.Did you see the way he acted afterward? He needs an attitude adjustment. Even several of my Texans fan friends said he should be suspended.
Just make it flag football already.
