N/S Bryce Young looking like biggest qb bust of all time (1 Viewer)

Caleb Williams says “Hold my beer”!!!

The Bears get the #1 pick, when the Panthers traded it away for Bryce Young. Bears followed that up with drafting hot 🗑️ Caleb Williams. That dude is horrible

Imagine being a bears fan and watching Jayden Daniels and Marvin Harrison Jr. today.

Brutal.

I used to think it was Trey Lance, but he hasnt stunk it up yet on a full season slate of games.

Even in Garbage time Young cant compile any stats. Teams literally give you yards in blowouts because they want to get the game over with.Today on 16 completions he didnt even close to getting 100 yards passing.

If im not mistaken didnt Carolina have to give a ransom to Chicago just to draft Young.
If maybe so, but he’s far and away above Ryan leaf

QB go to Carolina to BUST.

Stroud would be awful
Mahomes would be a pick machine there

They don't have philosophy to develop talent on offense. Don't understand how to build an offensive line consistently. Wouldn't know how to make a short QB work in the NFL. They don't have the coaches, scheme, or talent for a young QB to develop beyond raw talent.

Am I the only one who thinks Bryce is better than Caleb? Bryce has a terrible team, very little talent around, and I’ve seen him make some throws, but Caleb is surrounded by talent, and he is so off target by a wide mile.
He has Moore and Keenan Allen. That alone should be enough to make him a decent qb

As long as Tepper owns Carolina, that team will be in good hands

He played behind an NFL quality Oline at Bama against college defenses.

The Oline that he is playing behind now is somewhat NFL quality but what he didn't play against at Bama was NFL quality defenses.

He still made special throws. There is something there, but you can't have run of the mill coaches behind him. Sabotaged the moment he got drafted there.

I'm with you 💯 on that. I'm on record from threads prior to the draft on what the Bears would do with the #1 pick.

They hit the lottery by trading the #1 pick away to the Panthers in 2023.

I was certain they would do the same and cash in again this year. They could have and still gotten a top rated rookie QB in Penix,McCarthy, Nix, or Rattler along with fleecing another franchise for multiple picks and top players.

They could have stayed with Justin Fields another year and one of these young guys. They could have added additional top rated draft pieces anywhere across the board.

Instead they gave Fields away for nothing, bypassed the opportunity to get better in multiple ways, and picked a guy who was best at off scripted plays. What?

As genius and shrewd as the Bears were in 2023, they equally screwed the pooch in 2024 with their decision to go all in on Caleb Williams.

It all looks like a big swing and a miss by going away from the team building strategy they used just the year before.

Time may prove me wrong but it won’t be anytime soon.
