I heard a Maller fun fact today. Young is the first starter since JaMarcus to go 4 games in row without passing for 150 yards.

Its really amazing in todays NFL, because in garbage time blow outs defenses give up yards easily

Being in a dysfunctional organization with no coherent plan can be detrimental to a player's development. Look at the ups and downs of Derek Carr's career. A transcendent talent can sometimes overcome those things but the majority of QBs need a solid support structure around them to succeed, ie talent and coaching. Bryce Young has none of that in Carolina

Even in Garbage time Young cant compile any stats. Teams literally give you yards in blowouts because they want to get the game over with.Today on 16 completions he didnt even close to getting 100 yards passing.

If im not mistaken didnt Carolina have to give a ransom to Chicago just to draft Young.

He's got a ways to go to beat out Jamarcus the Hut.

But Carolina did give up a lot of picks to move up for Young.

big people beat up little people. Never draft undersized guys high unless they have a "special" or exceptional trait that overshadows their limitations.

There was nothing special about young. Not arm talent, not speed, anything. If someone pulls up the draft thread that year my post after the pick was "The Panthers will regret drafting Young" Rumor at the time was they picked him over Stroud when the aptitude testing results came back and Stroud didn't score as high.

Oh well, good for us, bad for them.

Lol i seriously hate when people don't read before responding with a rhetoric that doesn't take into account what was said.

Kyler Murray has a superior arm to Young and was also a better playmaker w/ his legs. Again, you can draft them, but they have to have something that allows them to compensate for their shortcomings no pun intended.
