He is notoriously cheap and won't fork out the money that it takes to build a decent team. A buddy of mine is a huge Bengals fan (for whatever reason) and I almost feel sorry for him some times.

It's not that they have "a lot" of cap space that they don't use because by rule and per the current CBA agreement teams are required to spend a certain percentage of their cap money. It's that they don't spend it wisely and that reflects directly on Owner, President, and GM Mike Brown.

Plus the fact that he refuses to hire knowledgeable football people to run the day to day football operations of the Bengals. He may be Paul Browns son but it's obvious that he didn't spend a lot of time learning from the old man.

Some teams will break the bank to sign and acquire good players..........................then there are the bottom feeders like the Bengals.

There's a reason why they haven't won a post season game since 1990.
