By This Time Next Week, Rattler Could Make Things Look Different (1 Viewer)

I mean it’s a little premature to start talking about Rattler taking over anything due to the fact he hasn’t had a single NFL snap yet….lets just see what happens…..

Again….

0 chance. There is literally NO scenario where DA doesn’t give the job back to Carr when healthy if he comes back within the next 5-6 weeks. It would have to be something like Carr is out for 8 weeks and Spencer was 7-1 or 8-0 and lighting the league on fire.

2-0 he could be 52-60 with 500+ passing yards 5 touchdowns and 0 picks and I can guarantee you if Carr is healthy the next week he’s the starter. DA is old school and Carr is his guy, he won’t be losing his job due to injury.

I’m super stoked to see Rattler play and I hope he gives us a glimpse into our future with him at the he

Look at the Steelers currently, Fields got off to a 3-0 start due to his defense and now he's about to go 3-3 after the Steelers kept him as starter. I think the Steelers will lose to the Jets also.

The Saints are missing their starting center ATM and Hill. Carr was exceptional in those first two weeks. It is assumed once the OL is healthy again that will resume.

And when I think about backup QB situations where a backup was playing well and didn't deserve to be benched, it's Damon Huard for KC in 06. KC had a bad OL and Trent Green was concussed and never the same either. That's not this.

If I remember Sid-Mars correctly, the food was OK but if I'm not mistaken you had to exit the bar area and walk to the back of the restaurant on a pier to use the men's room.

Hopefully, that dish was better than the image depicts.
I’m a lakeview boy. Sid mars was always a staple. It was originally on Harrison ave in the early 70s before it was on the bucktown canal
The boiled seafood and fried food was always pretty good and the beer was cheap and cold., but I think it was just a comfortable place to hang out with family and friends, and just down the street

But yes, that stuffed soft shell crab was exceptional. How can you go wrong with a crab stuffed and topped with extra crabmeat?

Ok. Sorry to hijack.

I think Rattlers gonna be a stud. Hope it starts to tomorrow

Never works this way. Carr is out at least 2 weeks. If Spencer wins 2 in a row he's getting the third start and if he wins that Carr's not getting his job back until Rattler starts playing bad or he gets hurt. Going back to Carr in the middle of a winning streak puts DA's job at major risk and him in a boiling hot seat with Mickey and the fanbase. He'll ride the hot hand and he has no reason not to.
I tend to agree with this. Especially given the current injury status of our offensive line.

The X-factor with Rattler is just how good is his mobility and what new wrinkles Kubiac can dial up from a designed QB run standpoint.

Carr is going to be pushing hard to get back on the field. I just hope Rattler is good enough to if not outright supplant Carr to at least keep him sidelined until he's 100%.

-Rattler could be 2-0
-One against a division rival and another against the old coach
-Could put the Saints back in the NFCS race
-get the permanent starting job
I think the expectations for this young man are way too high out of the gate. I would be thrilled with a 1-1 record with one of those wins coming against Tampa this weekend. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening especially with a beat up Oline. They will get him out of the pocket which is what Tampa will be expecting.

Nothing slows down a pass rush better than a QB who can buy time and burn a defense deep or find a lane and pick up first downs with his feet.

And on the other hand, nothing gets a QB benched faster than taking huge sacks and throwing up picks. Let's hope Rattler's play is the former.

I’ve got high hopes for Rattler - I’m also hoping the OL can play “on a string” and not “like five scattered dots.” With another (albeit short) week to practice together, I think they’ll be more cohesive. The lead playmakers will also have to win some downs for him. It’s going to be a fight but I believe he can get the Saints a W this weekend.
