C Erik McCoy returned to practice 11/7/24; McCoy designated for return from IR (3 Viewers)

They were talking about the Steelers today on the radio, they also had nine different OL starters as we did. Definitely different results.
That is what a real coach can do. That is what Sean Payton did here as well.
It was the beginning of the end of everything bad this season. If he had not gotten hurt despite all of the other injuries, we still would have won that Philly game and the Falcons game that's my personal feeling. When McCoy went down it was like a chain reaction and then Kubiak couldn't even run his offensive game plans. Also having young QB's while Carr was out would have helped immensely.
Here is where the word correlation is gonna come up for the 2nd time in the thread.

I have the suspicion that if McCoy doesn’t go down Carr doesn’t get hurt in KC. McCoy is the lynchpin for the offensive line he calls the protections and really is the second most important part (any center really) of the offense. There is a huge drop off from him to his backup just as there was between Carr and Rattler.

There is also a very impressive gambling stat that shows teams that loose their starting center almost never cover, for what that is worth.

He isn’t going to fix the fact that we have no one to throw passes to. He isn’t going to fix the defense, but what he will do is give Carr more time to decide which worse option is the best option. Maybe, our TE’s will get more involved with a little more time to get open.

Either way getting him back is going to be huge whether that is this week or next it can’t come soon enough.

McCoy: “I don’t know, bro. I was down for the count, and then, I heard a voice and saw a flash of light, and that voice said ‘rise!!!’ and I did!
I swears to you.”

:hihi:
