Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 (3 Viewers)

you guys are killing me, i'm waiting on my in mail and everybody else is having so much fun with this game. how about everybody stop playing til i'm ready to go

Don't worry, we ain't goin anywhere. There will be plenty fun left for you whenever you arrive.

Me neither, I concentrate on performing well in order to win. If that generates a good k/d ratio, so be it.

Wins>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>K/D ratio.

Too many people (roommates) play on my account and screw everything up anyway. Like 24.7 said, I play for wins.

Yeah, I really don't care about my k/d ratio either. I'm playing the game for fun not to jerk my own chain. I swear some of the people I've encountered online while playing this game are way too stressed about their k/d ratio and world wide rank.

K/D ratio is the thing I worry about. I can't stress over wins because there are 5 other players who affect that. Too many times in the past I've been stuck with wretched teammates and they waste a 30-5 (or something similar) effort on my part. Besides, it's a point of personal pride to me that I keep the K/D over 1. That's it. A modest goal, but one I like to stay above.

Campers are starting to annoy me, but I expect them. I just watch the killcam and pay them a little visit from the flank. Flashbang and semtex.

I've been getting scores of kills by watching for supply drops and taking out whole teams that run for it. That is more fun than a well oiled midget.

Run and gun still seems to be my best way of playing. I've tried playing sniper, but that's just not my style. I use a bit of sneak and peek when popping around corners, or heading into 'their side' of the board, but mostly, I'm running from cover to cover.

yes they are very annoying i keep going at them untill i take their spot.then when they run up on me i pick em apart, its pretty much a give and take situation but i'll take that 60/40 any day.love wait'n at a corner to shank em

I got the game from Gamestop yesterday. I got tired of waiting for Gamefly. Anyway, the single player is pretty lame so far. I've only played for a few hours, but it lacks the intensity of the first MW and COD: WaW. There are times that it feels like your presence in the game is redundant. By that I mean that you don't really feel in control of your character at many points and it feels like the sequence will work out in your favor even if you do nothing.

That being said, the multiplayer is great and a huge amount of fun. The game is worth it for the multiplayer alone. I've never felt that way about a game before. In fact, this is the first game that I like the mulitplayer more than the single player and I can see myself playing this multiplayer for a really long time. And I'm many times better at the MW2 multiplayer than I was at MW or Halo. I'm not good by any means, but I've actually come close to a 1:1 K/D ratio a few times and have been getting 6 to 8 kills per game. I'm not an asset to my team yet, but I'm no longer a complete liability.

I'm a 100% liability, and feel guilty and will leave my group after a game or two and find a new group so that people don't I usually end up with between 1-5 kills, and double digit deaths. I'll keep playing, maybe I'll get better? I haven't been hardcore into a FPS multiplayer since Halo 2.

i agree....i haven't had any desire to go back and play the single player....i played probably 4-5 missions and the only thing i thought was really fun was the snowmobile chase....too bad it only lasted a couple of minutes

a game like this doesn't even need a single player....

I even found the snowmobile kind of boring since it didn't seem to matter if you bothered to steer since it would just bounce off of things with no consequences. All you had to do was floor it to get through the mission. It would have been nice to have a complete game, but the mulitiplayer is really good.

I found out the hard way you can't do that when I crashed into a tree.

I did crash into one tree, but I also hit several trees and several rocks that I just bounced off of. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason for when it counted as a crash and when it didn't.

I agree with that. I hit so many trees and rocks, and it was always a toss up on dying or bouncing off.

My best death on that was after making the jump, I hit the jeep on the left side and perished in a fireball. :9:

I am hit and miss...I will have some games where I do really well and others where I just stink up the place....still getting used to playing these types of games. Between this and Left 4 dead maybe I will get better....I know I am getting better on l4d

I was racing with my brother and hit a tree on the down slope and went way off to the right off the cliff....flew for a little while then splat....lol
