Both can be true. But the decline was obvious even last year. It took a 3 sack week 16 game against Minchew in 2022 for Cam to get 8.5 sacks.

Yeah. It stings. Cam earned it - but in todays NFL you can’t pay “tribute” contracts with a wonky salary cap.

The reality is that Cam is in the twilight of his career. He’s situational at best now. Glad he seems to have accepted that.

Been saying this!! Man I love cam but he just don’t have it anymore on passing downs and it’s ok just took the coaches a while to agree with us. We are better team for it

What I like best about this is that the coaches/team/cam swallowed thier pride and it’s made the team better having him in for 2 downs and not third passing downs.
