He probably forgot or didn’t realize that Rickey didn’t get all of his career sacks with the Saints. Two more sacks and Cam passes Rickey in Career sacks.

Edit: Also he had 8 sacks as a rookie that aren’t counted because sacks didn’t become an official stat until the following season.

Am I wrong in thinking that Cam is on pace to be the only Saints player in HOF to play his entire career with the Saints? I could see that meaning enough to him where he may be more willing to negotiate about the contract stuff than others would be if he wanted to continue playing.

Thanks for the info. It's a real shame that those sacks in his rookie year didn't count.

I'm thrilled that he's in all likelihood going to retire as a Saint.

I have no idea what the rotation of Granderson, Young, Bresee and Cam looks like in a 3-4 defense but I'm excited to see it. We can certainly improve on the D Line but I don't think it should be considered an area of "need" at this point (although we do need to get younger at the position)

Young doesn’t play on the line in a 3-4. Not enough bulk.

I should have been more clear. Jackson’s 8 sacks from his rookie year aren’t counted because sacks didnt become an official stat until the following year. All of cams sacks count.

Cam Jordan openly complained about taking DT snaps last year... I just don't see how anyone can project him inside as a 3-4 DE. He's going to play on the edge, furthermore pay attention to the fact that the Saints added a DT and then kept every DT from last year on the roster. They kept a ton of bodies to play inside.
