"All those foes who oppose his shield must yield."

I like the costume design, although I think the helmet could still use a bit of a tweak. It looks functional, but still has all the key Captain America elements and it fits well with the WW2 setting without looking too retro. Word is he starts off with one costume, which is more for show, and changes over to this one when he finally gets into combat, so that makes sense. This costume also only needs to hold through this one movie, since he'll presumably get a costume update when he is unfrozen for Avengers.

Man, Weaver would be awesome as the Red Skull. It's something how an actor can be so great in a particular role, like James Earl Jones in some sort of majestic role. Weaver is just awesome as a bad guy (Agent Smith, Megatron).

But I got to ask, are you guys more excited about the Cap film, Thor, or Green Latern? I'm leaning more towards GL right now. It's leading the way because it's being filmed here. It's lead could change though.

If I'd have to rank them, they'd go 1) Thor 2) Captain America 3) Green Lantern. I'm really geeked about all of them, but I put Thor 1 because it's going to be very different from past comic movies with it's balance of location and themes on both Earth and Asgard, so it's either going to be spectacular or a tremendous flop. So far all the talk is good, and we'll get our first look at Comic Con in July. Captain America and Green Lantern are both pretty much on equal footing, but I put Cap at 2 because he's probably my favorite character. Green Lantern is in capable hands with Martin Campbell and Ryan Reynolds; if WB can stay out of it like they did with the two recent Batman films, it has the potential to be like Thor in that blazing-new-territory sense. No matter how you slice it, 2011 is going to be a great summer for movies.

Wow, you said James Earl Jones and I thought, "but he's dead." Then I remembered that was just his charcater in Clear and Present Danger. Now that's an actor.

I'd like to see a Captain America Movie,w/ the Red Skull being the villian!
& a Avengers Movie!that would be awesome, are they really making a Avengers movie?

There is talk that the bulk of the movie will be filmed in Britain.

Yeah...the bulk of the movie will take place during WWII, so it makes some sense to film it on location, and reportedly cheaper to film it there than in L.A.

He was awesome in Sunshine, which is a pretty freakin cool movie. I like him. More important than who plays Cap is that they got Hugo Weaving to be Red Skull.

That's pretty good casting for Dugan, and FANTASTIC casting for Hawkeye. I wonder if they'll skew more towards the more light-hearted roguish 616 version or the darker, more intense Ultimate version, because I could definitely see Renner pulling off either one.
