How many good offenses have they faced?

I think we put up 30+ on them on 12/08 and expose those frauds.

If Sean Payton stays balanced with his play calling we will keep their defense honest. We will dominate.

Short quick passes also helps out the running game.

The Bills put up 24 on them and the Cardinals put up 22. We may get a better indication this week when they play the Patriots even though New England has struggled offensively most of the year.

Regardless, they've still played well and they still have a very good front 7. Depending how well the Saints run the ball early in that game, it could end up like the Texans 2011 or Bills 2013 game where the Saints just decide to spread them out because the front 7 is too good.

If our offensive line plays good and we can run the ball we'll expose any defense, fraud or not.

I agree it is important for the line to play well and esp key to keep teams honest, but the way to expose CAR is to attack them through the air. That is their weakness and esp the middle of the field which is our specialty. We may have to chip at their ends, who rush the pass very well, but I expect Drew to be able to pick them apart.

The reason I brought this up is because I was watching NFL Network and they were talking about who the best defenses in the league were. When they got to Carolina, they showed highlights of random plays throughout the season and every single one was of a different, bad offensive team.

If you look at who they've played, they've played against some of the most dysfunctional offenses in the league.

This will truly be a clash of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object when we face them, but I don't think that immovable object has been truly tested. Seattle, on the road, across the country at noon is a completey different team. SF minus Vernon Davis isn't exactly a juggernaut either. I think we'll spread them out and throw for 350+ against them easily in the dome.

Their stats show that they are consistent and improving. I don't think you should extrapolate more than that since the Saints haven't necessarily blown out all of the bad teams and actually lost to a Pats team full of injuries and rookies. Any given Sunday.

Carolina is playing good ball right now. No doubt about it.

I've watched them, they are the real deal, particularly their front 7. They can be had on the back end but their scheme/power up front causes problems.

saints have to win vs carolina in the first game. just so i dont have to hear it from my panther fan coworker.

A loss by the Panthers to the Patriots would be nice. Other than the Saints (twice), the other teams the Panthers play after NE are MIA, TB, ATL and NYJ.

The Saints play the same opponents except for two teams. So should you also discount what the Saints have accomplished.

They don't play Dallas (good offense), they don't play Chicago (when they were healthy, good offense). They also faced Atlanta without Roddy, Julio, and Jackson. They also haven't faced New England yet.

In PPG, they're sitting number 2, half a point behind the Chiefs - surrendering less than 13 points per.

It's a very good defense. I think we can stress any defense with our weapons if we're playing well. But we do get out of sync sometimes - particularly if the OLine is struggling.

I feel good about beating them in the Dome but you can circle that game in Charlotte as a very tough road challenge.

Well being in the same division they are going to play almost the same teams we do every year.

I can tell you we'll have a pretty damn good idea what kind of O-line we have going into the post-season after playing the Seahawks and Carolina twice.
