Saints management has “SUCKERS” tattooed on their foreheads. Did anyone vet Young before throwing away $13 Mil?

How did they throw away $13 million? There are stipulations in the contract that he has to pass a physical before week 1. If he doesn't, the team won't be on the hook for that.

If he does pass the physical, he'll play, and hopefully we'll enough that it ultimately pays off.

What excitement? The reaction to chase young the whole way from a week ago till now has been mixed at best.

This news doesn’t bother me and he still has production despite it. I’m not saying the guy will suddenly be prime Julius peppers but I also think some in the thread are overreacting a bit too.

I'm willing to bet that he's gonna be better than his latest average. In fact, he may have a Trey Hendrickson type of year for us & best believe we won't let that leave again next year.

Some "Saints Fans" just believe any and every player the Saints sign is either out of desperation or because we were the last option.

I just went through every signing thread this season... and the only thread other than the Chase Young threads that had any negative comments was the Cedrick Wilson thread had 2 negative comments. Every other thread is all positive. Some "people" just make sheet up for platitudes.

Oh man, if this turns into Jarius Bird 2.0 people are going to be calling for Loomis and DA to be sacked.

The two situations are nothing alike. We had less than 1 mil when we signed Byrd to around a 6 year 57 mil contract. Signing Chase Young to a single year UP to 13 mil is nothing like Byrd.

quite frankly, I have no idea what you are referring to because the quote you quoted doesn't say anything about most people.... and the only Most people I said was referring to the desperation of picking up Young.

Nope that's not what "some people" think..... Cause most fans on this site agree that the Saints had to sign Young out of desperation. and you aren't any more of a Saints fan than anyone else on this site that is critical of the moves made.

Well, we have all kinds of posters here. I wasn't expecting the Saints to sign Chase. And actually wasn't so sure signing him was a good idea for the obvious reasons. I've come around on the wisdom of bringing him in, and if a very good edge rusher is on the draft board, they can still go after that or do whatever. Having Chase does give the team options.

Yeah, I agree that most fans here weren't saying this was a desperate move. Not sure where that came from. There were a few, but certainly not most.
