Chase Young (Pressures & Sacks thru 10 (4 Viewers)

Seen this the other day, just wondering what yall thinking about Chase Young thru the season and if you think he's back next season.

sitting at 19 total tackles, 12 solo and 7 assist tackles.

He's playing Carl Granderson's role from last year, does anyone think he's showing more than 2023 Granderson?

What you thinking about him? Looking pretty decent so far. I'm excited to see with the switch up Rizzi done, if it helps him.

Thought Turner looked night and day against Atlanta with Woods calling the plays and new change on defensive line coaching.

Really excited to see where he's at, at the end of the year.

Like his ability, but he is just missing SOMETHING. Always a step too late. The “Almost Sack” king.

Not sure I want to pay significant money betting on him figuring that last step out, as he hasn’t figured it out after all this time.

Frustrating player because you can clearly see something is there.

In 10 games Young has 19 tckls 3 scks and 4.5 run stuffs. Conversely in his 1st 10 games last year, Carl Granderson had 44 tckls, 5.5 scks and 11 run stuffs. Chase is labeled the superior talent but he's not nearly as impactful in a complete sense as Granderson.

C+ Grade.

Chase is top 15 in the league in pressures and time to pressure which is very impressive, unfortunately he hasnt been able to get home and finish. Also, Granderson is ranked 6th i believe in the same pressure catergories.

A reason for this could also be our lack of productivity in the middle allowing QB's to just step up. Mason Graham fixes this.

If you can get him at close to his current annual salary, sign me up. I don't want to go to $15mil or more. I'll be curious to see his market. I also think he could have a big back half of this season that changes things.

He’s young, he’ll get better with time. We have no choice really. We can’t afford a FA.
I’ve already debunked this in another thread. Chase has the 4th highest per year contract, from all of the DE FAs last year. If we can’t afford him this coming year, then we couldn’t afford him this year.
