He's honestly playing better than I expected to. A lot of people said getting him was a big risk and wouldn't amount to much because of his lack of motor and taking plays off, but we really haven't seen him quit on plays much this season and he's definitely being a disruptor even with the complete lack of production from the tackles. If the tackles would get more interior pressure, Chase would get more sacks.

With Allen gone, I'm curious to see what changes are made to the defense and if Chase can continue to improve. He's not great, but pretty solid.

I'll reserve my judgment on Young till the end of the season due to a new DC. If we spend any $ in FA next yr I want it on the DL. If we get a top 8 pick I'd prefer to trade down and pick up more picks

I can’t imagine very many teams beating down his door to sign him. He should come at about half of what we’re paying him now which would be a decent deal given Jordan’s massive decline.

I agree the Saints would be wise to get Graham if we pick that low. What I've noticed about Bresee is that if his intial rush gets stoned its over, and he generates little to no push in the run game. I'm concerned

The interior D-Linemen need to push the pocket more, forcing the QB one way or the other right into the DE's, then you start seeing more sacks from Young and Granderson. That's we need a NT that has that quick first step off the snap that can penetrate and disrupt the play in the backfield.

I agree Chase Young made some big plays during the falcons game. But for the most part the D-Line has been underwhelming rushing the passer. Looks like the RT tripped on both Turner's and Cam Jordan's sacks. Most of the game Kirk Cousins had plenty of time in the pocket. They have done a nice job of getting their hands up to deflect passes. Hopefully with the change in Dline philosophy we can get more sacks / impact plays.

He definitely had more of an impact in the last game. If he can do that the rest of the season and finish around double digit sacks, I could support bringing him back.

If the pass rush as a whole continues like it did last week I think Joe Woods and Brian Young raise their profiles as well.

If he had elite level effort, then he’d be a top five defensive player in the league. He lacks that relentless motor that the best pass rushers give every game.

His instinct on the edge rush is to crash inward and then cant recover. OCs see that and have killed. Can't set the edge.
