Teams are all going to start the same strategy like the saints did.. keep mostly 2 safety high & dare them to run the ball and simply don’t let anyone get over the top. It works..

but if you cannot score or sustain drives, it wont matter.

What got us in the end was the inability to turn 3rd downs into 1sts.

One great "defensive" weapon is a time consuming, TD scoring offense. You condense the game for the opponents offense down to making every play count. That pressure begins to build and most teams make a mistake/lose a bit of focus because of it.

We missed that Sunday early on, but started to see glimpses of it in the 4th. When we play that type of football ( which has been more often than not this season ) we are hard to beat.

I suspect there will be much greater focus offensively going fwd on execution and conversions.

I’ve been saying all season this team defensively is built to hang with any offense in league history.

The offense is no slouch either on paper we’re a better team than KC and anyone else for that matter . It’s just up to coaches to put players in the best position and scheme/game plan week by week

We just need vintage Drew for 6 games max !

With DHarris giving us short field positions almost every drive Mike T in play and better play from Brees yes we can beat any team and I say that with confidence by atleast 7-10 pts

100% agree.
time consuming drives that are successful will deflate a team like the chiefs and limit there possessions & as you said lead to a higher rate of errors... I think we punted 8 times that game & that’s a major problem

I agree I believe that the game plan has to be blitz mahomes and 2 deep we have the players to shut down their passing game. I believe a healthy return of 1 of our WRs makes this game get out of hand. Emanuel Sanders and Cook should be the match ups that benefit from MT on the field

I feel better about this team now than before the Chiefs game. The Chiefs are on borrowed time and they know it.

For these people to be world champs, their fans are obviously threatened by the Saints.
