I've had friends in the same boat who said the same thing - but I don't get it - I think I would want a new one - but I haven't been there so can't really say.

Anyway, sorry to hear it, but I sense you are the kind of person who can find joy in tough times.

For me, it's about trust and self-confidence. Like, how did I not SEE? How could I have chosen someone capable of such betrayal? Is my person-picker that broken?

Also, any time anything family related or emotional is on TV or radio, I tear up and can't stop it. Just thinking about Always on my Mind has the onion ninjas on the attack.

I'm not fit company for man nor beast since March. Luckily for me, the dogs don't have a choice.

My wife and I were both in our late 20's and freshly coming off of divorces (neither were finalized when we met.) We pretty much aired all our dirty laundry right out of the gate figuring screw it neither of us was in the mood to waste time. Once our divorces were finalized we dated for awhile then figured ah screw it why not. And here we are 20+ years later not with a storybook ending, but at least something we can be reasonably proud of. Doubt anyone is jealous of us but also we've made it this long so we must be doing some things right.

It occurs to me that you were able to say what I said earlier without having to write a novel about it. Good work.
