I got rid of a lot of comics that ended up being worth quite a bit.
All of the Absolute titles right now are surprisingly good.I figured I'd share my first pickups at the LCS for 2025. Got a little bit of new (Absolute Superman is good) and a little bit of old. I started working on the X-Men run in the last few months. I've now got 1-7 and 11. Those covers are just so darn good. Had to grab the Uncanny 234, too. I love some good iconic covers and that certainly counts as one. Looking forward to seeing what everyone has picked up to start the year.
Yeah, the ending to issue #3 was especially interesting.

Also in this box: First appearances Kingpin, Shocker, Bullseye, Rhino, MODOK, Black Knight. He also has a second Star Wars #1, but not in quite as good of shape.
Box 3 didn't have as much. First appearances of Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, Hellcat, Falcon and Captain America #100.
Boxes 4 and 5 are apparently larger in size. Still no sign of Hulk 181 yet or Giant Size X-men #1. Based on the dates represented, I'm confident they'll show up, just not sure about the condition. Could be a cover missing for all I know, which would break my heart.
Yeah, it’s badass. I get excited when a new box arrives. It’s like a treasure hunt. And if I ever do see that hulk 181 my pulse will spike. I doubt I’ll get to keep any, but it’s also possible they let me pick a few goodies someday.
