Comic Con Talk (Renamed since LA Comic Con can't get it together) (3 Viewers)

Jessie Usher (A-Train from The Boys) has been added to the guest lineup.

Fan Expo is pouring it on now.

So I've received the official "unofficial" list of comic guests they're going to be announcing tomorrow. Expecting to get the other lists as well soon.

@Doug B, to answer your question, they expect a draft schedule in the next week or so, but aren't sure if they will publish it or not until closer to the show. But, all celebrities are currently scheduled to be on at least one panel. The comics panel haven't been finalized yet.

I'll just say if you still guessing if you're going to attend, especially as a comic fan, I wouldn't. They will have something for all generations.

Fan Expo really isn't playing. Less than a month to go and they and still dropping some big names. The latest...

Joe Rubinstein, the colorist for the Infinity Gauntlet, has been added to the Comics lineup.

So all of the guest lineups have been finalized for this year. Not bad for a first year show with only a few months of planning. Only one cancellation as of now (Christina Ricci).

I'm going to be lining up interviews for Friday (probably prior to the floor opening). Unfortunately, most of the Hollywood celebs are off limits to the press. At least all of the comic creators are available.

Hey @Doug B, the draft schedule is up on the website if you want to take a look.

Dammit Omicron. You have guests cancelling a week before the show.

Figured this would happen.
Yeah. Show is still a full go. I'm set to interview some folks, but others are in the group that cancelled. Cancellations are normal, but this seems too high so quick that it has to be COVID-related. Hell, I wonder if Catherine Tate was able to get a flight across the pond.

Not a big surprise. Are they requiring any proof of vaccination to attend? I wasn't planning on going, but I'd be awfully nervous about having that many people all around me. That's just me, though.

It has to follow all of New Orleans' mandates, including those pertaining to vaccines.

We can't do the FanExpo now. Wife is having surgery Monday ... trying to keep our Omicron risk at zero. This surgery has already been pushed back twice.
