Comic Con Talk (Renamed since LA Comic Con can't get it together) (3 Viewers)

So, as someone not into horror, what number is he in those who've played Hudson?
Do you mean Jason? If so, he is THE Jason Voorhees for most horror fans. He was in the role for parts 7 - 10. I met the actor who played Jason in part 6, but I've always wanted to meet Hodder. There's only one horror icon higher on my list and that's Robert Englund. I never imagined that Louisiana Comic Con would be able to get Hodder, but the relatively weak lineup from last weekend's show apparently was because they were saving up for the March show.

Their guest list for March is already much stronger than this past one.

8th guest announcement....Hellboy, himself....Ron Perlman.

I'm liking this lineup.
Hmmm ... might be the perfect show to get back into the con scene. Perlman will be a big draw for my son.

Fan Expo New Orleans is expected to make their first announcement for the January show next week.

To be clear -- this is not the Big Easy Con promoters from 2019, correct? This is a whole new outfit debuting in New Orleans?

Fan Expo bought out several of the former Wizard World events, including New Orleans last year. They're one of the biggest groups in the business with shows in a ton of US cities and in Canada. This past January was their first show in New Orleans.

Big Easy Con in 2019 was promoted by Leftfield Media, the folks that do Awesome Con in D.C. and Rose City Comic Con in Portland. Those shows are pretty decent, but they completely forked up in New Orleans switching dates.

I went back and looked at pages 44 and 45 of this thread. We were all discussing this stuff leading up to 2022's Fan Expo Show in New Orleans -- and all the info just leaked out of my brain :(

Looks like the 2022 Fan Expo show in NO went well considering how Omicron was ramping up right around then.

Yeah. I was worried it was gonna hit hard, but there was a good turnout.

Can anyone pull up Louisiana Comic Con's Facebook page?

I get a "content isn't available right now" message for the last couple days now.

I've always gone to their website.

The Facebook page might have been run by the old partner. :idunno:

Works for me.

Joining Kevin Nash will be Mick Foley. Some good vets from back in the day.
