The only thing that irks me is that he was willing to stay for Watson…. Why not be willing to stay for another quarterback? Is his determined the direction of the franchise what we should expect from other free agents?

It is an is. We are not as attractive as we were in previous years. Hopefully Mickey can rebuild it quickly.

I don't think that Armstead wanted to stay to play with Watson. He wants to stay, but the Saints are only willing to pay so much for him due to the amount of time he misses with injury. If he is paid as a top 5 Tackle we won't match the offer now. However, had we gotten Watson, the Saints were willing to pay him that money because they felt they had a shot at the Super Bowl and they wouldn't have draft picks to draft a LT either to start or for depth. So, it's not that Armstead doesn't want to play for the Saints without Watson, it's that the Saints won't pay Armstead as much since we didn't get Watson.

Our draft plans will change if he leaves.

But more than that,he is one of the leaders of the team and one of the best tackles.

If he isn’t feeling what is going on here… that’s a MASSIVE red flag that other FAs view the Saints as an undesirable destination at this point!

I agree. Didn’t wanna see MW leave, but I heard some good things about Maye, n seems he’s gonna fit in nicely here. Moreover, we saved lots of money.

No idea about wat will happen wit TA r Jameis. However, I do think the FO already has plans in place to move on from either or both if needed.

TA may well sign with MIA. Not saying it hasn’t happened, but I really haven’t read r heard much, even rumors, about interest for Winston. I think the combination of his past in TB n season ending ACL has left teams uncertain about him. So seems that for now, his best option is to stay in NOLA to prove his ability. He’s only 28, so if all goes well, he can still set himself up fior dat big payday in a couple of years.

Yep. The D is in pretty good shape right now. We’ve only lost one starter in Marcus Williams, but found a nice replacement in Marcus Maye. Hopefully, we’ll resign PJ n Kwon, n da D’ll b set!

N I’m really excited about our D line this season! If all goes well, this is gonna b the best, deepest, most talented group Coach Nielsen has ever had here!
