Can still see Mama basting the top of eggs with bacon grease, no flipping.

Then we had to go all health conscious.
I still do it this way from time to time, in the cast iron of course, but I can literally feel myself sweating grease later haha

I wonder how much industry co-opting and misunderstanding science (intentionally and otherwise) is part of our overall 'concerns' about science
and it's one thing to be media literate - we should all work to be media literate since it's primarily basics of human communication being used - but how can we all be science literate? it's not like we can all recreate the experiments and trials that let to the 'science' conclusions??

If you've cut out bacon grease and still eat stuff with fillings like Twinkies or Oreos or seed oils, then you are worse off.

Bacon fat the body knows how to process. Most 'synthetic' foods are problematic.

I eat clean and healthy fats like bacon constantly now. Cholesterol, A1C, and weight all improved since changing.

My Dr. approves.

mine does not. i need a new doctor.

We switched from margarine to butter several years ago for kind of the same reason... Plus butter just tastes better
