I doubt that. My grandparents, great aunts and great uncles were the grand kids during the 1918 flu. I heard about that pandemic but at school, not from the people who lived through it.

It was like the KKK political epidemic of the 1920's a few years later, no one who lived through it wanted to talk about it.

Yes they did, but it was spelled differently, tric trac, and was said by both French persons, Germans, and my grand parents on my mothers side. With their Yiddisha accent if came out as basically sounding sort of like tika toka.

It's another name for backgammon. No one could beat granda, many tried.
