Could this be the most pivotal bye week of DAs tenure here? (3 Viewers)

C quarterbacks have won superbowls.
You should go look at the career of Trent Dilfer - another Fresno State QB. He won a Super Bowl. He spent 12 years in the league with a career QB rating of 70.2 and more INTs than TDs.

That is not even a C. Every starting QB in the league today has a better QB rating this season than his CAREER rating. I get that it is a different game but ... yeah ... there have been some "meh" QBs with Super Bowl wins. Championships is an overrated statistic for individuals in a team sport. --- Yes, it is what we want. Yes, you contribute --- but so much of that is out of your control.

Theres nothing pivotal about his tenure here. Ownership and the FO are asleep at the wheel, living the easy life on a 600 acre horse farm in Kentucky, doing some interior decorating and smoking cigars left over from 2009. Allen shouldve never been hired to begin with. It doesnt matter what he does. He is keeping Pete around for 1 of 2 reasons: 1) because he doesnt have the authority to make the decision or 2) long enough that he can use Petes ouster as a life preserver.

No matter how you slice it, this has now gone on long enough that this is a Loomis problem more than an Allen or Pete problem. Loomis made the decision and Loomis refuses to either correct his mistake or move the franchise in a different direction.

Either way, nothing is going to happen. The man is going to drive this franchise off a cliff and its going to take us 3 to 4 times as long to get it out the ravine than it wouldve been to accept that we needed a fresh start before we hired him.

We lose to Atlanta; I don't think we'll have to worry about this staff anymore. Think the wheels fall off if they screw up in 2 weeks.

Nailed it. Loomis is still drunk off the SB win and refuses to take a stale product off the shelf.

Anyone expecting changes during the bye will be disappointed IMO. We may see some changes after the season if we end up with a losing record but nothing major unless the team completely collapses, and considering we have the easiest schedule ever, I expect we'll end up with a "good enough" record and will trot out the same nonsense next year.

I think so much comes down to Nov. 26th.
While the Saints play the Falcons, the Bucs travel to Indianapolis.
If the Saints beat the Falcons and the Colts beat the Bucs, that two game lead in the South will help DA’s case.

Barring behind the scenes toxicity, I think Allen gets another year.

I agree, but 31 other franchises wouldve shown Allen the door already, and no team with a vacancy interviewed him. Some made terrible decisions on hires, but Allen was a "do not touch" candidate that didnt get a single interview.

The lights are off in the FO. We have a Loomis problem.

Agreed, it would be 1,000% the wrong decision, but the checks keep clearing on Airline.

Dennis Allen has a blank check to be terrible. No performance or result will put him on the hot seat.

There will be no, "Oh-oh...it's about to go down!" moments with this FO and staff. They are the definition of "status quo". Don't get your hopes up fellow Who Dats.

Allen will get a few empty wins out of the remainder of the season. Loomis will proudly deliver his end of season word salad presser. GAME OVER.
