I did, or actually currently do. Felt congested, dry cough, headache and stuff last couple days. Oh well I’m in Montana. Waves of pine tree pollen in the air, and I have a slight asthmatic allergy to it. So thinking no big deal.

Last night body aches slammed me, heart rate over 100bpm at night (resting heart rate usually 63) so I got up in the middle of the night and took a Covid test. Instant red line

So here I sit aching and stiff with a headache from hell with temperature swings. This is so fun. Hopefully it’s quick being all up on my shots and good stuff
Yeah, not sure if anyone said it here, but when you're really positive, you don't have to wait 15 minutes. It's like once the liquid hits the paper.

Oh yeah. There was no question at all. I just can’t believe how wiped out I am. Went to go plod around the yard and was like dang

Day 4 update now that I have been up a few hours.

This thing hits HARD. I haven't been this sick in years. I can't even imagine what it would be like if I wasn't vaccinated.

Now I have all the normal flu symptoms. Headache, fever, chills, bodyache, runny nose, sneezes, stopped up head, nausea. My throat hurts so bad that I can no longer speak without a GREAT deal of effort and pain. I cannot WAIT for this evening when my friend can finally bring over some meds for me. My only reprieve is that I know most people are having symptoms for only 5 days so maybe I am getting near the end.
Maybe you're patient zero for a new variant?

End of day 5 here. Man I feel a LOT better. Maybe it's 2 days on Sudafed but sometime this afternoon it just seemed to stop. My throat barely hurts at all tonight as well. Still have some itchy chest and occasional uncontrollable coughing. My stomach muscles are sore like I did crunches all day from the coughing yesterday.

My sense of taste and smell is a bit strange since this morning. I taste things, but not everything and not intensely. I used Tony's on my eggs this morning and couldn't taste it at all really.

Anyway I hope to wake up tomorrow and feel something close to normal.
All that I saw is that you hope to wake tomorrow.

I've been dealing with the cemetery lately. It's about $1050 to bury someone if they already have a plot. I'm going to buy headstones, and pre-pay for cremation this week if you, or your next of kin are interested.

I mentioned this before. I had sinus surgery back in 04. My Dr. said pine pollen is heavier than air and will sink to
the ground. You won't inhale it. Oak and grass pollen are the bad boys.

It sure will mess up a paint job on your vehicle if you don't stay on top of it though!

this is will I agree with. It's nasty stuff. That said take a look at oak pollen under a microscope. It looks like medieval
weapons. Trust me, they will tear you up if you have allergies

Interesting thread, especially lately. I actually have a Covid question. Why do they even claim to be tracking Covid cases when there is no way to self report positive Covid home tests? My wife and I tested positive in June. We were vaxxed and barely had any symptoms and are fine now. But there’s no instructions anywhere on what to do if you test positive other than to isolate. I asked friends this. They all had Covid and they had no answer. How many millions have tested positive this summer and nobody know or cares? It’s as though they only want to count the extremely bad cases.

I worked a very large healthcare system a while back, one of our support nurses came down sick, a home test was bought at Walgreens, positive result, employee sent home. CMO of that healthcare system asked us why did we bother testing, that they quit testing and just work through it. So there is that aspect to it also, how many just don't test at all?

Ironically my company requires vaccination or no jobby job, though they send a covid positive employee home half way across the country on a plane who was very sick, smh.

Wwlork through it. That’s funny. I can barely walk due to leg cramps and a heart rate that goes bonkers when I do anything

They are starting to treat it like the flu. We don't test every case. We test a lot and estimate the rest.

If you contacted your doctor or any doctor about your positive result or to get anything prescribed, they would have reported your case to the health department (at least that's what the CDC says they are supposed to do).

Outside of that, you could probably contact your health department.

However, per the CDC website they didn't want to mandate reporting to make sure people just use the tests and then isolate.

My work still requires 5 days isolation then 5 days masked, if no fever and symptoms resolve.

The cases aren't as useful, but they Still show trends. Cases up, steady, or down. The exact number is less accurate.

I just use the overall trend to know if I should mask up or not.

The south and southwest are up a bit. No surprise as summer drives people indoors. Up north I'd never get a summer cold.

This is weird. I crashed hard with this stuff then like 36 hours later while still have a runny nose and random cough feel ok. Hit hard and fast.

Now if my knees would stop aching I’d be almost decent
