It’s amazing to me how different LSU fans think about this same subject then saints fans.

At one place you have people thinking trump should be criminally charged for his press conference . At the other place the press conference was the greatest thing since the Gettysburg address .

Unfortunately, whether your particular company requires you to return to work or not will depend on if the people in charge of said company are Trump suppporters (i.e. braindead) or if they decide to listen to what the doctors are recommending.

If you can prove your statements with actual facts versus what you might think is a very probable outcome sure. I think it's best if you mention a statement Trump makes, and you disagree with it, just say that you disagree with it and leave it at that.

He would have to start making executive orders and that would get messy real quick. Like Supreme Court messy, I'm sure. Right now he's just talking in vague terms.

To be fair, we can keep people alive and legislation can be passed to ease the economic burden on individuals and families. This is decidedly not an either/or situation.

Unfortunately you can’t pull politics out of this because Trump plays politics constantly at a time when politics most assuredly need to be set aside in order to save lives. Trump’s flailings are costing lives at a time where he needs to be a true leader.

Which LSU board are you referring to? ’Tigerdroppings’?

Like Oye mentioned, i too am a fan of both the Saints and of LSU.. at this point in my life, it’s probably 50/50, though growing up, i was definitely a bigger Saints fan.

i think maybe it has to do with which board attracts certain types of folks(?). Or maybe this one attract more people who live in, or are originally from, New Orleans.. versus some LSU boards which maybe attract more folks from other parts of the state, i dont know.


ETA: One thing i noticed on Tigerdroppings it that on their main thread devoted to the new coronavirus, whereas the SR headline says ‘Covid 19 Outbreak’- on TD it says “Chinese Virus Outbreak”.. cant remember if that was on their OT Lounge, or on their Politics board.. it’s a subtle difference , but says everything you need to know.

I actually agree that it's gotten a bit too political (and I'm very clearly on the opposite end of the political spectrum of the people whining about it). It's just hard to find the line between current events on this and politics/legislation/etc. I don't admire the mods trying to find where that line is.

But I couldn't disagree more that this thread isn't informative anymore. That's silly. There's been a handful of political posts. It's mostly still very productive.

Agreed. And that’s where I think the discussion over the stimulus package comes into play. That’s a socioeconomic reality and necessity that is inextricably tied to this thread and us. I think following that and examining policy is important.
