Problem is how do you separate it for discussion. The president just came out and overruled every single health advisor. Which would be fine, if people actually had a clear thought through plan that people agreed on. But he doesn’t. He has no plan at all. Congress is at a roadblock because the democrats will not go along with businesses using this bailout money to do stock buy backs, inflate a bottom line while they fire people. The democrats believe in getting money in the hands of the people and grants to small business to pay their employees. So, how is this separated out.

And i will state again...that can happen without personal insults. Again, if you dont see them, you are not looking for them
How about you show where what you are stating is true instead of regurgitating someone's opinion on the stimulus debate?

I assume China is getting back to normal based on an internal email from my company. We are are on lock down globally except for Hangzhou location. They are going into the office as normal.

Our plant in China reopened recently and is operating at full capacity,

At the risk of interrupting what is now just another political thread......my wife had a patient last night that got tested for suspected covid-19. Supposed to get the results back in 48 hours. For now the hospital just recommends her to check her temp often blah blah blah. I'm hoping he comes back negative but the reality of being married to a nurse is it's probably coming home with her at some point. It feels like I'm standing on tracks just waiting for the train. Really worries me because I have these visions of me being one of the people that wouldn't survive it. I see all these deaths and "underlying issues"....I wish I knew more about what those were.

The kicker....she wasn't even supposed to be working.

Don't worry, you are much more likely to die in a car accident.

It has to be separated out to some degree otherwise this turns quickly into primarily a political discussion rather than an informative one. There is a political discussion site for the rest. That said, no matter how sanitized from politics we try to get, there's really no avoiding a cursory discussion of it, particularly when it comes to the press conferences which more often than not is political as much as PSA.

The goal of this thread is to provide a place where we Saints fans and the rest of the readers of this thread can educate themselves about the virus and discuss how we can prepare during this crazy time. There's enough of that without the political component, as integral as it is. I think I am most interested in whether the preparations we are making and policies to fight the virus are good and effective. I've learned a ton here and hope we can continue to have that type of discussion.

Every now and then we've gotten a bit off track, but usually we manage to find our way back to that end goal.

Some of the problem re: information is now that shirt's gotten really real, posters are looking over their shoulders, concerned their employers may not like certain things to be shared.

We have to speak in generalities, like the CDC is vastly underreporting confirmed cases, which are tragically behind the untested-but-clearly-sick. By like, 6 to 1.

If you think about those photos of lines outside the ERs, consider what's going on inside that hospital already.

How long before WHO moves the epicenter from Europe to North America?

I think it would have to be after Spain plateaus or starts dropping. It feels like Italy has turned the corner, but they're not out of the woods yet.

Also, England isn't out of the woods yet either. I wonder how far from the peak they are.

Yes and that is fine. Problem is that too many in here are incapable of doing so without personal insults or comments that have nothing to do with proposed policy
If you dont see it, then you just arent looking
I see the personal insults and don't care for those. That's why I don't do it. Personal insults are an issue of individual behavior and not an inherent part of discussing and disagreeing on policy.

One can be banned while the other is allowed.
