I'm a bit surprised Jaylan Ford made the 53. I know they were high on him in OTAs, but IIRC he was mostly out hurt during camp and I don't recall seeing him play in a preseason game. And if he did play, he didn't do anything noticeable.

Vickers is also a surprise but likely due to the Saunders injury. But, I do think there are rumors they may try to trade Saunders. So they may do that once he is healthy and keep Vickers.

Saldiveri making it over Hergel is hard to make sense of. A guy who's injured and hasn't played in two seasons versus a guy who looked really good a guard and center during the preseason.
