David Tepper threw his drink at a jaguar fan (fined for 300,000 dollars) (1 Viewer)

A funny thing about that offseason is that the acquisition at WR that everyone was most excited about was Jake Reed.
Made sense, given the offense he came from. The Chiefs weren’t as strong a passing offense. Horn came ready to prove himself worthy of WR1 status, and earned it.

Say what you will but Wilson didn’t cost the Broncos TWO FIRST OVERALL PICKS. I can’t even imagine being a Panther fan right now. Their coaching staff was going to draft CJ Stroud and Tepper overruled them all to select Young. Then he fired Reich after Young sucked. The Saints keeping DA might be depressing but we’re not Panther fan level depressing……
Yup. Another owner who thinks he knows everything about football players, and overrules his true football folks, just like Snyder did when he insisted on Dwayne Haskins. We see how that worked out for Snyder.

Steve Bisciotti OTOH lets his football people to their jobs. We see how that's worked out for Bisciotti.

Mayfield will get paid this coming year if they keep him though
Why should Baker get paid? They ain't really do anything

And that 300k....the NFL should do a "Down on your luck" type of raffle and give those fines to a regular person every once in a while. That 300k might not be sheet for Tepper, but it could fix about 70% of my problems.

If you want to feel better about not being a billionaire, or a rich expat, I've met a few of each, and it seems like in either of those situations, unmoored from the restraints of societal convention, if you have bad traits, your worst traits have the opportunity to metastasize and grow like tumors.
He uses $300000 as toilet paper

We gave Carr a $150M contract.

Yeah, I know it's not as bad (maybe). But still. Also, TB is going to win the division with a QB they paid $4M.
And before that, he was on another NFC South team. Ummmm, let me think.

"The 'deeply passionate' part is certainly true in Tepper’s case — he does care — but it’s irritating to use as an excuse, in the 'I care so much and that’s why I got so mad at you' kind of way."

I don't know anything about Tepper or his personal life, but this non-apology "apology" really does give me that abuser vibe.

To be fair, didn't Manning go 1-15 his first year? I'm not saying Young is Manning but let him have another year. Having said that, I didn't think or even thought he'd be all that great or good but kinda unfair to write him off after one year.

He said that he should have let security handle it….handle what?! He was in a box!

Exactly. You're the owner and YOU'RE the one getting physical, how security supposed to handle that?
