David Tepper threw his drink at a jaguar fan (fined for 300,000 dollars) (1 Viewer)

To be fair, didn't Manning go 1-15 his first year? I'm not saying Young is Manning but let him have another year. Having said that, I didn't think or even thought he'd be all that great or good but kinda unfair to write him off after one year.
3-13, including a loss to a Saints team quarterbacked by Danny Wuerffel in hurricane protocol (I watched that game on the 9th floor of the Doubletree). Decent talent on offense but couldn’t defend a bank with a machine gun.

Should have been a draft pic.

$300K to him is about .25 to us regular folks.

So 250K in 2009 for an owner flipping off a fan. 300K in 2024 for physically assaulting fans? Something doesn't add up.

Why should Baker get paid? They ain't really do anything
They’re still in position to win the division and Baker has been more than solid for them as much as it pains me to admit:
  • 8th in pass yards (3907)
  • t-4th in pass TD’s (28)
  • t-6th in interceptions (10) - among QB’s that started at least 14 games; 4th among QB’s that started all 16 games (so far)
  • 9th in QB rating (95.9)
  • t-9th in yards/attempt (7.3)
  • 7th in yards/completion (11.4)
  • 10th in 1st downs via passing (182)
He’s literally been a top-10 QB this year statistically. He likely won’t get $40M/year, but he ain’t re-signing for no $4M/year either. I’d bet he gets at least $15-20M, maybe even a bit higher.

Even funnier looking at Mayfield’s contract, looks like the Bucs might have to be cutting a nice hefty check to him if his stats hold for one more week and/or if they make the playoffs.

  • Playing Time Incentives
    (doubled with a playoff berth)
    $500,000 for 66%
    $250,000 each for 75%, 85%

  • Passing Stat Incentives
$300,000 each for NFL Top 10/NFC Top 5 in:
    Passer Rating
    TD Passes
    Passing Yards
    Completion %
    Yards per Pass Attempt

Pretty sure he’s hit all the playing time incentives considering he’s started every game, if they win Sunday then they double from $1M to $2M.

As for the passing stats as it currently stands, Baker is:
  • QB rating: 9th in NFL, 5th in NFC
  • TD passes: t-4th in NFL, t-4th in NFC
  • Passing yards: 8th in NFL, 4th in NFC
  • Completion %: 18th in NFL, 9th in NFC
  • Yards/attempt: 9th in NFL, 6th in NFC
He’s going to come out slinging that rock on Sunday.

Why should Baker get paid? They ain't really do anything

And that 300k....the NFL should do a "Down on your luck" type of raffle and give those fines to a regular person every once in a while. That 300k might not be sheet for Tepper, but it could fix about 70% of my problems.
He will get paid because he's all they have

Made it through page one... and no one even mentioned Rickey Williams trade... lol.
How about the Ricky Williams trade. Giving up a whole draft for one player plus a extra No. 1 pick
Why did yall Saints fans say "worst trade ever" and forget we are the kings at least it made it in by page 3...

If Washington had actually done something with those picks, that trade would be more talked about as one of the worst.

And in the grand scheme of things, it didn’t cripple the franchise.
The Saints went 8-8 or 7-9 until they hired Payton merely six years later.
And won a Super Bowl before the team they traded the picks too!

Here Boy

What gets me is he didn’t have enough honor to apologize.

I feel sorry for the panther fans. They are experiencing the same frustration, the Saints fans experienced back in the John Meacham days. It is true that the NFL is not the same today as it was back in the 80s however, the owner can do a lot of damage to a team I realize I am speaking to the choir.

Herschel Walker is the only one that comes to mind but that was long ago.

The Vikings thought they were adding the last piece to a Super Bowl champion - instead Walker did little for them, and instead they added the pieces to a Cowboys 3X Super Bowl Champion, while the Vikes continue to languish in the Never Won A Super Bowl Club.
Well the Saints played a small part in that as well.

The numbers tell me that. 15 QBs are making 35+mil/yr. That number goes up every year. Most of the starting QBs not making that are on rookie deals.

I guess The list shows that Derek Carr is an average QB!
