[Deleted X post] Rizzi’s interview was impressive per Nick Underhill (122 Viewers)

He had to sit back and watch DA/ML build the roster. Give him his chance to build the roster. He's been around the game a long time and has plenty of connections.

Also, I'm not advocating for him, I can see the appeal.

I'm going to rally behind whoever the FO selects.

Neither player is likely to be here in three years. Front office needs to make the best decision for the organization based on their own process, not player sentiments.

A part of me wants the players to NOT like who is hired. We need a new program and for guys to get uncomfortable again.

Rizzi is being pushed now that AG seems to be a NYJ. Makes sense.

I don’t like the choice but feels consistent with how Mickey moves.
On one hand the players advocating for a HC is how we ended up with DA.

OTOH, I really don’t think Rizzi got a fair shake. He took over a team built in DA’s eyes, and he could just change small things. I’m curious how it would look if he were able to mold the team into his vision.

First thing he did was kick Grantham to the curb and the D-line played better.

Agree 100 percent. A bunch of new faces in the locker room means everyone’s job is up for grabs and becomes a competition. Of course the players would rather keep the same guy/the same system from last year. It’ll be less stressful for them, but it might not be what’s best for the fans or the organization.

It’s the cheapest option. They can likely give him a three year deal and save some money by not firing as many staff members. Definitely not the most exciting option.
Yikes. If their decision is based on what you posted, there's no hope for the foreseeable future.

This. And I mean it as no disrespect to Cam/AK. The best thing this organization could possibly do for those two guys right now is deal them to contenders for picks.

The Saints have to accept this is a process and not a jolt. Cam Jordan and Alvin Kamara are not guys they can have in the 3-5 year plan.
