[Deleted X post] Rizzi’s interview was impressive per Nick Underhill (2 Viewers)

Max Crosby wanted to be traded if Pierce wasn’t hired. Players like stability and it’s a good ol’ boy network to begin with.
Change isn't always easy to deal with, so I get why a player may not want a new coaching staff. The good ol boy network is more prevalent with Owners/GMs and even coaches (Payton hiring his buddies) than players.

On one hand the players advocating for a HC is how we ended up with DA.

OTOH, I really don’t think Rizzi got a fair shake. He took over a team built in DA’s eyes, and he could just change small things. I’m curious how it would look if he were able to mold the team into his vision.
How would you feel if they gave him a three year deal and he kept everything as is?

Sean Payton is waiting for the news that the Saints hired a head coach. I will give it 12 hours afterwards that we hear that Rizzi is joining Payton in Denver. Maybe Big Mike talks Rizzi and KK into staying? Probably not, ill miss Rizzi tbh. And ill miss the running game production from KK and co.

It’s the cheapest option. They can likely give him a three year deal and save some money by not firing as many staff members. Definitely not the most exciting option.
Matt Mascona makes a good point, i have to admit. But Matt said, bridge Rizzi for 2025, go 2-15, and get a top 5 pick, then you can start fresh in 26 with Nuss or Manning. I tell you what, if i knew that Manning would be as good as his uncles, id be in favor of the controlled tank. The NFL wouldn't suspect it because everyone know that we need a salary cap reset.

We still don't know how good Arch is going to be. He's clearly good, but we really don't know yet whether he is NFL good, much less great NFL QB good. But, even assuming he is, I don't think he's coming out in 2026. His family has plenty money. He's getting huge NIL money. So, he doesn't need to come out for the money. I think it's likely he stays at Texas until he graduates which likely won't be until at least 2027 if not 2028. Both Payton and Eli stayed until the graduated and I suspect that they and Archie will tell Arch not to rush it, get as many starts as he can in college football, and get his degree before moving on to the NFL.

yea i agree with you, it would be unprecedented if he came out early. Theres also the blurb from Archie about Dallas being his recommendation to Arch as his NFL goto team.

I would shocked if Arch declared for the NFL draft next year and would not be surprised if he turned pro only after he used up his college eligibility. First, his uncles and grandfather have probably told him that college experience is critical for a young quarterback in the NFL. Second, he comes from a well-off family and doesn't need the money. Third, he can make NIL money. Fourth, he probably is enjoying college life. The only caveat would be if in 2027 a team he really wanted to play for had the first pick in the draft and ensured him he would be its selection.

I would be pretty pissed off, but what about Rizzi makes you think he would keep everything the same?

Underhill said in the tweet that he since deleted that Rizzi had a whole plan laid out of everything he would change in the organization.

If you watched Arch play this past year, he's still a ways to go before he's ready to go to the NFL. He's going to need two full seasons to develop and I'm sure his family knows that.

Because it’s the condition the almighty Loomis gives him

This tired retoric has been killed weeks ago
How by Mickey saying the incoming guy will have free rein! Only time will tell if he is lying or talking like he’s always saying that we just need to reload a few key pieces and we can win! I stopped believing him when he lied about DA being the next big piece!

It was by Mickey allowing the entire staff to interview for jobs with other teams and Kubiak having several OC interviews and being the leader for the Seahawks job.
