Gayle is loyal to a fault — just like her husband was. It took Mora simply quitting to get that stalled regime to end. And it took Katrina to get Haz outta here. DA is a better person than Haz, but he’s every bit the failure as a head coach so far. Best hope is for us to snag a veteran free agent QB who is a little younger than Dalton and, hopefully, draft one with the second-round pick.

If we get stomped by Philly, I can see Mrs. Benson looking out over a half-empty Superdome and making the decision to part ways with DA, particularly if we lose that game as well. As I've said before, I think Mrs. Benson greatly values her position at the center of the New Orleans entertainment world.

If both of those things happen you might be right, but I doubt either will happen. If so, then he probably should be, but if he beats Philly and they play like they should there's no way.
