Of course fans of a team that was 5-12 last season would be angry. They are 7-7 and will likely win the rest of the way and have a winning season. After starting 1-5, and how bad they were last season, they should be grateful that they are trending up and are moving in the right direction. Especially before Payton puts his footprint on the roster.

Who said there was any problem with the writer having a beef? No one. I just thought his use of language was noteworthy. No Saints writers ever went after Payton like that (except Duncan to an extent). That's all I'm saying.

So there's no one you need to be vehemently defending here.
