Derek Carr the target of parade float “joke” (4 Viewers)

Those are short fields for sure, but if the defense is giving up touchdowns, why would you think the Rams offense wouldn’t have been able to drive an extra 10 or 20 yards? The endzone is the only thing that stopped those drives.
I think that’s a fair point as well.

This is all in good humor imo. I think Carr should be able to laugh at it himself if he has a good since of humor.

First Rams drive: 14 plays 95 yards, TD
Second Rams drive: 7 plays 50 yards FG
Third Rams drive: 9 plays, 40 yards: missed FG
Fourth Rams drive: 3 plays, 2 yards, punt
Fifth Rams drive: 5 plays, 58 yards, TD
Sixth Rams drive: 10 plays, 72 yards, FG
Seventh Rams drive: 5 plays, 41 yards, TD
Eighth Rams drive: 9 plays, 56 yards FG
Ninth Rams drive: 4 plays, 10 yards, punt
Tenth Rams drive: 5 plays, 19 yards, end of game

Tell me I’m delusional again

You're delusional to believe that the D's performance wasn't directly impacted by the offensive failures.....7 points in 3.5 quarters of football....I could list out the Saints drives but will summarize as follows.....

2 drives ended by punt
1 drive ended by a DC Int
and 3 ended in 4th down failures

I don't care who you're playing 7 points in 3.5 quarters is a massive offensive failure.....AND I was the first one to post a thread about how the D looks very average against decent teams (back in Oct I believe).....So I'm not big on defending what I think is an overrated D (by most fans) to begin with.....BUT in this instance and what has been consistent with DA led Saints is the offense comes out totally flat, ineffective against decent teams in big games.....and to me, this is a prime example.....

If the D crapped the bed, then the offense unleashed a shirt show that completely engulfed the bed.....

Fair or not Carr was the face on the float but he was just one of eleven on the field trying to execute red zone plays called by the now fired OC.

If anything this was a jab at everyone, players and coaches, involved. They should all reflect on their performance.

OTOH it’s just a float so chill.

Greg Olson
Bill Musgrave
Jon Gruden
Todd Downing
Mick Lombardi (Really Josh McDaniel)
Pete Carmichael

Carr is the same QB under each of these coaches. Sooner or later ppl are gong to have to realize it’s on Carr, not them. Yes, none of them are great shakes (maybe McD the OC is good, definitely not McD the HC), but he got Pete Carmichael fired after what, 17 years?

Not sure how i feel about that one. Hes not a HOFer, but he did have alot of other things working against him. He seemed to take it well, so thats really cool. I like him more for it. Now he needs to have the best run of his career and flip the narrative.

Eh, 15 years under Payton who was the real architect of the Saints offense. Not saying PC didn't contribute during that time, but it was certainly limited to a significant degree. The lack of motion and play action and poor utilization of specific plays to counter defensive pressure was pretty obvious.

They certainly improved a bit in the last few games. Too little too late tho.

Well if you kept it transparent and the same with both good for you. But we aren’t throwing fully dressed poboys at opposing fans so we will never look like Philly. These floats aren’t brand new and didn’t just start it’s simply the city. He had a good reaction about it. The rest of you can continue to weep as he sits in his mansion
I’d rather live in my half-shotgun in New Orleans with no insulation and a possum I can see under the floor than live in a mansion in Mandeville!

Joking, obviously.

This is just not true, they would have controlled their destiny and did control their destiny before and during the Rams game.

The revisionist history drives me nuts.
I was referring to the end of the season. These selective excuse drive me crazy. We were not a good team during the season, just like we failed against winning teams. We all know what it's like to be in the driver's seat, and you're claiming we looked like that before the Rams? :D

You said, and I quote:
Out the playoffs with a bunch of fluff stats when the game was over against good teams or wins against losing teams.
They were not eliminated from the playoffs until after they played their last game. And beat Tampa pretty convincingly late in the season, the same Tampa team that won a playoff game.
They never controlled their destiny with that record....
This is just a false statement. They controlled their own destiny as late as the Rams game, which was week 16 (15th game) iirc.

If you want to have a legitimate debate, get your facts right.

The moment he went to Chipotle I knew he was in trouble!😂😂😂
Genuine question for NO natives. If it's sacrilege to eat at Chipotle in NO, how is it even still open? Somebody must like to eat there right enough for it to remain open and it can't just be out of towners eating there.

Never understand why it is such a big deal to some but whatever.

I mean, it's not sacrilege. It's just a really bad choice when you come to New Orleans when there are so many better options. It stays open because people like fast food and I guess it's decent and cheap for fast food. But, I honestly don't know if it's decent food at a decent price because I have never eaten at a Chipotle.

Anyway, I think people are really joking about Carr eating at Chipotle thing. I don't think anyone is serious about it. It's just funny that it's the first place Carr ate in New Orleans is a generic fast food chain.
