Diabolical!!! How can the Saints be this bad! [mod edit] (2 Viewers)

For the Chiefs, yes, they've had WR's go down but as long as Mahomes is healthy, they're fine. Like we were with Brees.

The peak example of this will always be the 2006 Dallas game.

Dude was out there throwing to Jamal Jones, Terrance Copper and a work-in-progress Devery, while dropping 42 on the Cowboys.

You forgot the multiple TD's by Karney and RB tore the Cowgirls up in the passing game....but....point taken

Trust me, I didn't forget.....I witnessed that game in person (remember the onside kick to really rub it in later in the game?)

I was just reinforcing the point that Brees was throwing to preseason-roster receivers in that game.

That's cool, I did say point taken...

Which other team in the league is playing without their injured starters and making the playoffs???

Out:
QB1
RB1
WR1,WR2
TE/HB
CB1,CB2

You will not win if your real playmakers are injured. The backups are backups for a reason. Even the great SP could not consistently win once the injuries kicked in on his teams.

I’ve been a Saints fan since 1987… Lived me some Reuben Mayes, and then Ironhead joined the team, and I was all in.

In all those years, I’ve never looked at the Saints with more hopeless indifference as I do currently.

Honestly… I don’t even watch them anymore. This is the first season since Sunday Ticket became a thing that I have not had it. Heck!!! I used to watch games I had no interest in years before that just to see if maybe they’d show a Saints highlight and follow the score on the ticker… then stay up late to watch The George Michael Sports Machine!

I really blame Loomis more than anyone. He has killed my passion for this team, and Goodell killed it dead for the NFL after the no-call

This is what happens when you restrict your own flexibility to move and/or move on from players. Now we have an aging roster full of overpriced players that no one else wants. The only way to get rid of bad contracts (other than wait them out) is to give up good players to entice others to take a bad one at the same time. In many cases, restructures of these bad contracts have to continue in order to get under the salary cap in the future. This is not a Dennis Allen/Derek Carr matter. This goes so much deeper. This is the price of Loomis making it happen.

It's not hard to understand. Sean Payton and Drew Brees turned this franchise into a winner with a winning culture and a winning attitude with winning play and winning strategy.

After their departure, we have a GM who thought it was mostly him, who made an awful decision hiring a losing head coach, who installed a losing culture, with losing play and losing strategy, and the GM was so incredibly arrogant he believed they were doing the right thing.

And here we are.
This is my thoughts exactly.
It’s amazing how much damage a head coach can do in a very short period of time.
Not just any bad HC but an historically bad HC, a once in a generation bad HC.

I just hope whoever his replacement is can get the losing stink out quickly.

Saints didn’t have a QB1, they had Carr. Ugh.

I’m just the messenger. Don’t shoot
I kinda saw that graphic Pop up on the screen the other night. Couldn’t believe it myself, so I had to research it. Seems like it’s true. Personally, I feel like we have been hit more, but if they do the math correctly, then who am I to argue
I'm still questioning it. Their offense isn't missing anyone. Are they counting some Special Teams players as starters??

31% means like 6 players, meanwhile like I said we've had just on offense 7 guys miss 6+ games..not to mention Adebo and when he was here Lattimore missing multiple games.

I think our situation has been worse. I think we would have been fine if our offensive players stayed healthy while the defense got banged up. An offense that can score can cover up a banged up defense, that's what Detroit is doing..

Yeah I’m confused as well. I would imagine that they are counting STs bc that’s the only way their situation is worse than ours.

We're one the worst teams in the league. That won't change until we get a QB, a good head coach, and build an offensive line that is a brick wall.

Same here, biggest need right now with this team is a culture reset....
