Do Y'all Want Shedeur Sanders if He Drops to 9?

Should the Saints draft QB Shedeur Sanders if he falls to #9?

1. I can't believe he's a first round pick.
2. It's gonna take a strong staff to keep his dad out the locker room and off the sideline.
3. I've always said it's a high probability that selection will cost a coach his job.

Florio did make a good point. Maybe coaches don't want Sanders because they could be fired for DS to coach his kid down the road. SS is a good QB especially when given time to execute. His o line at CU was horrible
Just Florio making up more crap for clicks.

You are correct in your observation , the hatred for Coach Prime on this forum is real. This kid can play and he’s accurate,he’s tough as nails and he will be a good NFL QB. Most of the haters on this forum will have to eat crow and I hope I’m one of the servers.
Amen to that! He had terrible O-line play at Colorado most of the time. He still managed to have over 70% completion percentage. That tells me he's good with his reads and gets the ball out quick. He also doesn't throw many picks.

Prime is one of my favorite players ever, love the guy, so it’s not hate for me. I just don’t think his son will be that great in the pros. I’ll be rooting for him either way, hope he proves me wrong.

I have a feeling that most of these "NO" answers have nothing to do with football. Sad.
Your feeling is right! It's actually really sad. I could go on and on about it but I'm not! It's definitely not worth it on this forum. I've been watching this kid since he was in high-school. The amount of fast no's on this forum is hilarious. They obviously have not WATCHED him play qb at all. Lmao at the fast yes' to Jaxson Dart though. If I've learned anything in the past 45 years about America, Murica gon Murica if it don't do nothing else! The year 2025 and the hate, fake knowledge, and claims of fake knowledge is real and at an all time high! It's funny to me though. It's also super funny knowing that Shedeur Sanders will not fail in the NFL. The amount regret by fans and teams will be funny as hell by the end of his career barring serious injury. The amount of bs no's are enjoyable to me by the masses of people who haven't watched him play a single down of football, and the the ones who are searching for lowlight film. 🤣🤣🤣🤣☠☠☠

I'm totally impressed by what the kid has done in his college career, especially the past 2 years with the worst offensive line I've ever seen. I also love how his offensive line woes have been completely downplayed as well! W/O 4ver! 👑

Dude getting knocked not because of film but because his father, one of the greatest football players of ALL time, is too involve in his life.

If you're staying true to your draft board... and you have Shedeur as the best player available... you take him.

QB is also a need, and we're not competing for a super bowl now anyway, so you draft your franchise QB if he's the best available. If he's not the BPA on your board you either draft your BPA or you trade down to a team that wants Sanders and pick up some picks.

As much and I hate the falcons they drafted their franchise QB when he was the best player on their board. Can't hate the move.

No way. The guy is not a first round pick. I sound like I'm his biggest critic. Simple truth is I hate the over hype he gets and constant shoving down our throats how great he is. The media was hyping him up non-stop no matter how he played. Even after he cost his team the game against Nebraska, the media was declaring him a top QB in the draft. He's not great. No pocket awareness. Mediocre accuracy. Strong arm, and downright bad at pre-snap reads. On top of that, there were some odd things occurring in the play calling, such as Colorado down in pts and the play calling never put the game/offense on Sanders arm. It's almost as if Deion would rather lose the game then to put his son in potential situation to lose the game at the expense of chancing wins.

I'd happily take the guy with one of our 3rd round picks. I think there's a very high chance his ceiling in Jamis Winston, maybe even Jake Browning while his floor is Hendon Hooker. I think Rattler is a fine career backup QB to have. I personally love his moxxi and feel really good about his attitude to fight coming into the game to temporarily replace our injured starting QB. I just don't see the point in Sanders.

I feel the same way. I’ll admit that him doing that modeling thing abroad and not being with his team this year, kinda bothered me a bit. Plus, I do think he’s full of himself…….however, I do believe the dude is talented AF. He wouldn’t be my first choice, but he’s the bloodline of an NFL legend. That’s some Primetime DNA inside of him. Pun intended
I don't know anything about modeling abroad, but generally agree with everything you said. And I don't want him...not even at #9. He comes with the circus of drama that seems to follow the Sanders clan...I'm not a fan of those who SEEK the spotlight. Let the spotlight find you. JMO. So the earlier poster is correct...it's partly non-football related.

But THIS part IS football related. If Shedeur ends up in B&G, I have very little doubt that he will bolt for a larger market team at his first opportunity. Whether that's forcing a trade after holding out due to a breakout season; or playing out his rookie contract as a starter and seeking brighter lights, and better endorsement opportunities from larger markets. At best, he'll be a bridge QB until the next better opportunity comes his way; and we'll be having this conversation again when it's time for contract extension. That is also my OPINION, but I think a valid concern, given his prior history. IF he is the "franchise QB" that we hope for, and that he says he is, I'd want my franchise QB for more than 5 seasons.

I just fundamentally do not believe he is of "franchise QB" caliber; and if he is, I don't think small-market New Orleans will be able to retain him. You think Daddy Prime won't be offering career advice? Daddy Prime's career is Exhibit A for why I think this way. None of us know what's in Shedeur's mind (myself included), but I think my inference is reasonable, and the concern is very valid. If Shedeur is there at #9, I'd rather trade out for additional picks. Again, JMO...

Excellent breakdown. I do agree that he most likely desires a big market and his family are all about the marketing aspect of where they are in life. It definitely would be circus level, but I try to not let that affect my beliefs on him as a football player. Even though the attention would be at an all time high once he reaches the pros

If he drops to 9, I'll take him for sure. I said last season that in terms of actual quarterbacking (and not being an athlete that throws), he was up there (IMO) last season. But I don't believe no QB is worth a reach BUT if Kellen is on board with it, I'm down...lol

I just fundamentally do not believe he is of "franchise QB" caliber;
Truth is, that's not up to the player. Franchises make "franchise QB," so I believe that the QB that our staff put their energy and focus behind will be that for us. The problem is we have so many coaching staffs that believe that a person isn't a certain caliber, so they are robbed of that opportunity because they don't have the support. Then there is shock and confusion when a player goes somewhere that gives them that and they succeed (Geno and Darnold to name a couple).
