Should the Saints draft QB Shedeur Sanders if he falls to #9?

I was 100% against taking sanders this morning for a number of reasons… at 6pm tonight I am 100% in favor of taking sanders now that Carr is restructured. Taking a QB Early is the only way we will ever force that bum out of town. Please God make it stop

He is not a bum everybody else just not doing there jobs his whole career he’s had to carry a bunch of nobodies Tom Brady couldn’t win with this squad

I feel the same way. I’ll admit that him doing that modeling thing abroad and not being with his team this year, kinda bothered me a bit. Plus, I do think he’s full of himself…….however, I do believe the dude is talented AF. He wouldn’t be my first choice, but he’s the bloodline of an NFL legend. That’s some Primetime DNA inside of him. Pun intended
His mentor was arguably one of the biggest taunters in history. But Prime always showed up and played well.

The kid completed over 70% of his passes two years in a row. He averaged over 300 yds/game and didn't turn the ball over much. If he was anybody else, we wouldn't be having this exact conversation. There may some trepidation, but not this extent.

He's never been in trouble off the field and plays hard on it. He has the pedigree to be a good QB. I don't think his ceiling is HOF material, but I think, with time, he can be a good starter.

I have a feeling that if he is at 9 I think cowboys give us a deal of a lifetime. Jerry calls the shots there.. no matter who the HC is.. so I see them giving us a haul.. and we still get top pick.

Jerry listens to his people... if it were up to Jerry they would have taken Manziel and missed out on a HOF guard in Zach Martin. They have as many holes as we do, so don't lose sleep hoping Dallas trades up for a QB especially when they just gave Dak that ridiculous contract.

He probably fit better at wr

Carr is not our future. Him sitting for a year is what he or any rookie needs. A year from now you can let him & Rattler battle it out, but we need to move on from Carr asap.
Yeah but I would love for my future qb to learn from a hall of famer like Derek that’ll keep us in contention for the next decade

I think the raiders getting Geno greatly increased the chances of Sanders dropping to 9.

Now they COULD pull an Atlanta and still take him but I doubt it if Geno wants(and probably will) get a big deal from raiders.

If Kellen truly and I mean truly believes Sheduer is the guy then I’d do it. I just prefer Cam Ward though even though I don’t dislike Sanders as a prospect by any means.
I expect they would draft him if available.

Carroll has a track record of grabbing several QBs if he needs one. He brought in several guys along with Wilson and lucked out that Russ grabbed the bull by the horns. Geno would be an ideal mentor for Shedeur.

And to answer the question in the headline yes. How often do you get a chance at a possible franchise QB?

At some point we're going to need to invest a high pick in a QB. He's not necessarily the QB I would want, but I would like the mindset that it would take to draft him. So if CKM thinks that's his guy, then I would love to see what he can do.
We’ve thrown away a bunch of first round picks for players who didn’t play up to potential, we get a chance to draft a QB and most people on this board says “no, I’ll pass” We should be drafting a QB as high as possible for as long as it takes to find the right one. If you don’t have the right QB you ain’t winning a Super Bowl!!!

Admittedly, I didn’t see any games he’s ever played in.
So I watched what has been posted and highlights.
Even in the highlights, I see a very average arm at best. And that’s in college and not even against SEC competition.
I can’t see how that translates into the NFL game.
Rattler has twice the arm.

I have a feeling that most of these "NO" answers have nothing to do with football. Sad.
My no definitely has a lot to do with fear of his dad inserting himself and publicly criticizing coaching etc when things don’t go our way. We are rebuilding and are going to lose a lot of games, we don’t need a high profile dad trying to usher his son out of town and into a bigger market/better team.
