Do Y'all Want Shedeur Sanders if He Drops to 9? (71 Viewers)

Should the Saints draft QB Shedeur Sanders if he falls to #9?

Personally, purely based on talent, I like him but just not at 9. I don’t have a high enough conviction to take him that high. Maybe trade up from 40 if he somehow free-falls into the mid to late 20s.

As much as I want the young QB, I don’t want us to force it, and taking one at 9 with the options we’d have, is forcing it IMO.

As for the “Other stuff” he comes with, I have cooled on worrying about that and will let the organization decide if that part of it is okay. It’s not my business.

At some point we're going to need to invest a high pick in a QB. He's not necessarily the QB I would want, but I would like the mindset that it would take to draft him. So if CKM thinks that's his guy, then I would love to see what he can do.

Big no for me unless he drops to the third round. I’m still for getting Carr to restructure, including a paycut, and then letting our current QB room fight it out. I don’t mind drafting a QB later if that’s what Coach Moore wants. But personally, I’d rather roll with what we have and see if another good OLineman (at least one), better health and new coaching can do for Carr, Rattler and/or even Haener. Because of bad health and worse coaching, I can’t see blaming any QB for last year.

Word?

First time hearing this.

Underhill said the Saints like Sanders, but they like him more in the 2nd round or possibly in the late first.

Personally, I think #9 is too high for him, but I would like him late in the first or in the second. But, I think a lot of people just immediately say no on him because they don't like Deion and hold that against him. I don't like Deion either and it probably made me think of him as a mid-round pick for a long time. But, when you objectively look at him play and look at his high completion percentage and great TD/Int ratio, I think he's a good 2nd round QB. If he was a little taller, had a better arm, or was a bit faster, he would probably be a first round guy. But, he's not.

That being said, if Moore likes him at #9, I'd support the pick. As Elvis said, at some point we have to start taking chances on young QBs higher in the draft.

IMO Shaduer will not fall to #9. Kid has been groomed for this his entire life. If he does fall the Saints would be foolish to pass on him. Stash for a year and LFG!! in 2026.

I would be very against taking a project QB in the first round. At nine there will be much, MUCH better players available.

We need to go Oline, Defense or I would also be ok if Jeanty makes it to 9.

Players that actually have 1st round grades. The QB’s this year are projects and need to be drafted in the 2-3rd rounds.

No no no. His wind up takes an hour and I watched him underthrow Hunter all season and get dominated by higher competition.
Also he holds the ball way to long he will be sacked a lot
Question:

“Does a crackhead want another hit off the crackpipe”???

Answer:

Yes
You'd have to be a crackhead to want him at 9
