I’m sure he’s not however he saw fewer plays bc he’s a liability in coverage and since majority of teams are throwing more than they rush his # of snaps makes more sense.

TCUDan said after some games last year that Werner executed his assignments better than any of the other LB's, including Davis. Coaches place a really high value on consistent assignment execution. Some fans don't value that consistency as highly as they value making the occasional flashy play.I don't think anyone claimed that Werner scared OCs or forced OCs to change their game plans. He's just a steady LB that is usually in position and usually makes the plays he is supposed to. He's an above average LB and happens to be better than Willie Gay. You would certainly like a better WLB (to the extent that is what he plays in the new scheme) and maybe that will happen soon, but for now, Werner is not close to our biggest issue on defense.
But, how many 4-3 WLBs in the NFL do scare OCs in the NFL or force OCs to change their game plan?
Been waiting for D’Marco to step up for 3 years, I haven’t seen it. But I’m sure that once he leaves in free agency next year he’ll be All Pro.Time for D’Marco Jackson or Jaylan Ford to step up
Because dennis allen made dennis allen level decisions. He didn’t contribute much, TBH. But he didn’t play much either. In my view, that was due to decisions made by coaches. If his playing time was going to be limited, why was he signed in the first place? It’s very strange.
Well he’s still a Saints player so let’s hope he steps up here, yeah? Can we do that?Been waiting for D’Marco to step up for 3 years, I haven’t seen it. But I’m sure that once he leaves in free agency next year he’ll be All Pro.
