Not necessarily. Mr. Pibb is served in all of the AMC theaters, at least in Louisiana..Yeah, I was kind of surprised to read that Mr. Pibb still existed. Like you said, it’s been gone from Louisiana and Mississippi since the mid-1980s.

It's that Freestyle machine so there are different flavors, including the XXtra.I think it’s that ‘Pibb XXtra’ ripoff nonsense , isnt it ?
It's been available in Ms. for years and still is. I managed a Pizza hut for 7 years. We were contractually obliged to carry Pepsi products. On the MS Gulf Coast, is Mr. Pibb sold at groceries, convenience stores and places like that? I lived in the Jackson area during the early 2000s and never recalled seeing Mr. Pibb anywhere around there. Of course, things could've changed since then. It's been available in Ms. for years and still is. I managed a Pizza hut for 7 years. We were contractually obliged to carry Pepsi products. At one time Dr. Pepper was independently owned and sold the rights to different bottling companies. So in one region it was a Pepsi product while in others it was a Coke product. It's been available in Ms. for years and still is. I managed a Pizza hut for 7 years. I'm pretty sure it is still that way.At one time Dr. Pepper was independently owned and sold the rights to different bottling companies. So in one region it was a Pepsi product while in others it was a Coke product.
According to the Dr Pepper Snapple Group's official web page, "Nearly half of DPS' annual volume is distributed through our company-owned bottling and distribution network. The remainder is driven through third-party/licensed bottlers and distributors, including those in both the Coca-Cola and Pepsi bottling systems". Dr Pepper used to be heavily distributed by Coke and Pepsi, but now the Dr Pepper Snapple Group is almost entirely independent in the distribution of their products, including, of course, Dr Pepper. The Dr Pepper Snapple Group has over 115 distributing centers to ship their product all over the world.
You are correct. When I worked for PH, our franchise had to carry Pepsi products. Company stores carried Coke products. Barqs root beer is the same. It was once independently owned and later sold their rights to coke. I could tell the difference after it happened. It tasted much better before the sale. After the sale, it was too sweet in my opinion . The root beer our franchise carried was A&WAt one time Dr. Pepper was independently owned and sold the rights to different bottling companies. Personally I can't stand any of the Dr. Pepper type products and will drink any other soft drink flavor over them.
