I had a similar experience with my wife.
On the topic of significant others...that is context overflowing with little daily unselfish acts -- and those are probably even more telling of the natural human capacity for goodness than someone jumping on a grenade to save others.

Sure, there certainly are many. MANY times when I am afraid of my wife and I keep my mouth shut for self-preservation reasons. But there are just as many other times when I'm in the right; when I could say something cutting to her, scratch the righteous itch, get the dopamine rush, and not get any blowback because she knows she screwed up. And I let it go for no other reason than because I love her.

Such terrible and tortured logic. You willingly let her stay ignorant because she is incapable of accepting the truth when you present it. She needs to be an adult and capable of loving you enough to change her stance when proven incorrect.

Sounds like you're making an entitled wife who doesn't respect you as a person enough to admit when she is wrong.

Which makes you feel good.

Which makes you feel good.
I mean, 27 years of experience in my marriage and I've done some things for my wife that certainly didn't feel good in the moment...for her sake, and looking back, I don't regret it. We make hard choices for each other every now and then. A lot of relationships are like that.

i was reading the other day this 11 year old kid who saved another kid at school from choking, then on the way home, saved an elderly woman from a burning house. when they interviewed him he said he has always wanted to be an EMT.

When a new male monkey takes over the troop, he kills all the offspring of the previous male. They are also incredibly violent.

Monkeys suck.
#notallmonkeys

And can we be specific?
Do you mean all primates?
Are you separating apes from monkeys?
Thereā€™s a vast difference between chimps and bonobos

lol I assume this is a joke reply. If not, you sure are assuming a lot of facts not in evidence. Or you haven't been in a committed relationship like I have for 36 years.
