As much as I dislike Musk and everything that has to do with him, I don't like the vandalism of his dealerships, just as I never liked the burning of local businesses during protests/riots. And no, it's not domestic terrorism either, it's a crime, just like if you torch a furniture store. You can accomplish all you want against Tesla just by boycotting them. It's having an effect. You don't need to vandalize. I don't agree with vandalizing personal vehicles either. The people that are projecting those images onto the back of Cybertrucks though, are geniuses.

My ex brother-in-law and his wife have a Tesla. They love the car and hate Musk and his politics, but they do worry abut the car being vandalized.

you won't find many people who agree with the vadalizing, especially the cars people are driving.
but you'll find more people who don't about someone vandalizing a Tesla dealership.
i think both are shirty things to do. but the talk of boycotting Tesla should be illegal is just moronic... and no, they aren't just talking about the vandalism part, they mean the boycott in general. "thats not what they mean", well, thats what they said, so what they "meant" doesn't matter...
