He either declined because he knew there was no way he would call plays, or because he felt he was a rooney rule interview

Kyle Pitts hasn't really lived up to expectations. Not even sure why we'd request an interview unless he has a history with Moore.Should we be upset at this?
It’s interesting since Koger was TE coach with the Chargers when Moore was OC. You would think that would up the odds he would be willing to work with Moore.Should we be upset at this?
Or there might be some animosity in there somewhere! It's pure speculation. It’s interesting since Koger was TE coach with the Chargers when Moore was OC. You would think that would up the odds he would be willing to work with Moore.
I wouldn’t be. We already have our play caller as someone mentioned above. That’s the most important thing.Should we be upset at this?
Agree it’s speculation, although I would wonder why he would have animosity with a former TE coach. I checked to see if the Chargers interviewed Koger for their OC job in 2023, but they did not.Or there might be some animosity in there somewhere! It's pure speculation.
Both those jobs have been filled by other candidates. It's a lateral move, I wouldn't want to uproot my family unless there was a pay raise or an area we loved. He also applied for 2 OC jobs, maybe he got word that he is in the running for them.
my 1st though as well, Pitts has been a huge disappointmentKyle Pitts hasn't really lived up to expectations. Not even sure why we'd request an interview unless he has a history with Moore.
