I would wait on putting out the cash to watch "US". Wait till it comes out on red box or watch it on line.
I like a good horror movie, but this is not it.

Dean Kootnz's "Voices at Midnight was a good read

I’ve always loved Robert McCammon’s books

Swan Song (often compared to King’s Stand) is one of my favorites, I’ve read it at least half a dozen times

Hearing that about "US" is disappointing. "Get Out" was pretty great til the ending.
Dead Kootnz is very hit and miss to me. Though it's not a horror novel, I do remember liking "Intensity". I'll give "Voices at Midnight" a look. Thanks.

"US is "Get out" x 2

I need your help. I'm a HUGE fan of well written horror novels and good horror movies, but I feel like I'm running out of material. Maybe two or three decent horror movies come out a year. I haven't seen "Us" or the new "Pet Sematary" yet, so I have that. I love a good horror novel but they are pretty rare also, and I hate to invest all that time for something that is not worth it.

I think I've seen the best horror films of 2018 with Hereditary being my favorite.

I read A Head Full of Ghosts recently and enjoyed it.

Any suggestions? I could list what I've seen and read but it would take forever. Also I tend to favor supernatural work.

Did you get to any new horror books/movies yet?

I am not a huge horror fan, although I do watch a ton of movies. The most emotionally exhausting movies of the last few years for me have been Ex Machina with Alicia Vikander and Good Time from the Safdie brothers. I also really enjoyed A Quiet Place. Horrifying for a different reason (if you're middle aged or older) was Umberto D., which I watched the other day: it's the story of a retirement-age Roman on a fixed income in post-WW2 Rome.
