All are comparable. I would rank them 1-4-3-2. Season 5 so far ranks in the middle of the range.

tricky question - all tease out various aspects of different Coen Brothers movies - but that means if Lebowski is the jumping off point, it will have a different vibe than if it Blood Simple
also, while each season has its paranormal element, sometimes it's closer to integral to the plot and others it's more just added color or flavor

This one definitely has that...I really haven't figured why or exactly what it means, yet.
It does add a layer.
It's a pretty fantastic show thus far and the acting is simply off the charts good.

Even in a 'posturing' type episode the hour flies past, just awesome stuff.
One question my wife keeps asking and I haven't bothered looking into--is this show really based (obv loosely) on actual events??
