The thing I took away from the episode was how cold Lester has become to send his wife into the office wearing his coat with the hood up. That was stone cold evil, although he doesn't even begin to come close to Malvo.
That scene, and the earlier elevator scene, reminded me of how, in The Usual Suspects, we are told that Keyser Söze made his reputation by being willing to kill his wife rather than submit to blackmail. It was almost as if Malvo and Lester were trading off their women to show how tough they were. (One difference being that Malvo's girl--and the Stephen Root character--were probably doomed in any case.)
Also wanted to put in a word for the return of Key and Peele playing FBI agents as if they are Rosencrantz & Guildenstern--great stuff. "Turducken", indeed.
