The thing I took away from the episode was how cold Lester has become to send his wife into the office wearing his coat with the hood up. That was stone cold evil, although he doesn't even begin to come close to Malvo.

That scene, and the earlier elevator scene, reminded me of how, in The Usual Suspects, we are told that Keyser Söze made his reputation by being willing to kill his wife rather than submit to blackmail. It was almost as if Malvo and Lester were trading off their women to show how tough they were. (One difference being that Malvo's girl--and the Stephen Root character--were probably doomed in any case.)

Also wanted to put in a word for the return of Key and Peele playing FBI agents as if they are Rosencrantz & Guildenstern--great stuff. "Turducken", indeed.

I'm loving the show. FX and HBO have by far the best shows on TV and arguably better quality than most movies. It's a shame Fargo is about to end, but I'm looking forward to The Strain, Tyrant, & The Bridge.

Great ending to a great show. I will say i was surprised it was Gus who finally got Malvo, but I did enjoy how the show pivoted away from my expectations. I do wish they would have expanded on what happened with Molly's dad on the force back in 1979. They made a few references to it throughout the show (dead bodies, shootouts, him standing watch over Molly). At the same time I do like that the show didn't feel the need to piece every thread together for the audience and allowed us some mystery...what happened to the deaf hitman, Stavros, the money, Chaz, or the Hess family?

All in all a great show that I really enjoyed. Great story, acting and very memorable characters.

I loved the finale. It had never occurred to me that Gus would take out Malvo. The sly humor interspersed with the graphic violence was genius. It will be very interesting to see the direction the show takes now. The Malvo character will be a hard act to follow!

Had the same conversation with my wife about it. Who's going to arrest him? The local cops (who's chief Malvo murdered)? The FBI (who had 2 dead agents outside that Malvo murdered)?

that was the only thing which bothered me about the finale. my only conclusion is that the bemidji pd is so incompetent that i guess it doesn't matter.

There are dead FBI agents, the local cops would have to explain who killed Malvo to the Feds, Gus didn't make it a secret it was him. I kept waiting for some kind of explanation, but it just ended.

Wow, what a show. Just finished watching the last episode and it didn't disappoint. If you haven't seen the show, do yourself a favor and watch it now.
